Atlas' POV:
It's been nearly a month since Miles was shot, and I'm currently in the process of helping Sean move his stuff into my apartment. It is still kind of early in our apartment, but he's here all of the time anyway and Calin is at Miles' house all the time.
We have separate rooms, but chances are we won't sleep separately. It may be soon for my boyfriend to be moving into my house, but I can't see me not being with Sean, so why not move in early?
He and I have been doing the housework together and been tolerating each other really well for the past month. He doesn't know about the job offer that Miles brought up to me, but I need to tell him soon. For now, though, I'm going to live with my amazing boyfriend and show him how much I care about him.
"Baby, I can help you carry that upstairs!" Miles insists, trying to assist Calin.
Of course they've been helping us; well, Calin has been and Miles has been trying, but my friend is still freaked out about his injury. Miles is definitely healed all the way and can handle himself just fine, but Calin is a freak.
"No!" Calin snaps back, so I rush forward and take the heavy box from his hands. "You should go sit on the couch."
Miles groans in irritation. "I'm fine, Calin. I'm completely healed."
Calin glares at him and the two have a staring match on the stairwell for a few seconds before Calin looks away and runs back down the stairs to grab another box.
There isn't much left to do anyway, so Miles leaves his brat to run off and walks inside the apartment to sit on the couch. At least him relaxing will keep Calin from being one step closer to an aneurysm.
Sean walks up the stairs with another box. "There's only one more box that Calin's grabbing, so we can start unpacking," he says excitedly, rushing the guest room where most of his stuff will stay.
He's way more perky now that he only has to focus on his shifts at the Ember and doesn't have to worry about taking over for Miles. It's refreshing to see how relaxed he is.
"You haven't had sex with Sean yet, have you?" Miles asks, making me jolt and stare at him in bewilderment.
"Do I look sexually deprived?" I ask because I didn't think I gave off that vibe.
He shakes his head with a laugh. "No, Sean was talking to me about how nervous he was, so it didn't sound like you guys had done it yet."
"...I've never fucked a guy, Miles. Well, or a girl. I'm a mid-twenties virgin."
"Well..." Miles winces, looking behind him to make sure Sean isn't eavesdropping. "Do you know how it works?"
I nod slowly. "I have an idea... has Sean ever had sex?"
Miles scoffs. "I don't really consider it sex," he grumbles, clearly annoyed with whatever sexual experience Sean had. "It was mainly when he was a teenager... but it isn't really my story to tell. Ask him about it. He doesn't really feel as though it's some big secret, but it still brings him shame."
I hum in understanding as Sean runs out of my room and sits beside me. "All of your boxes are in there?"
"Yes, now we just need to unpack!" he says in an excited voice, grinning from ear to ear. "There's space in your room, right?"
A smile pulls at my lips and I kiss Sean. "Yes, I'll show you where."
"Dinner is at our place tonight," Miles says as Calin rejoins us in the living room and sits beside Miles.
Thankfully he and Sean both get tonight off and we're definitely going to take advantage of it. Who knows... maybe Sean will be in the mood to break in my bed because I've definitely never had sex in it.
Or, you know, had sex at all.
"See you tonight," I say as Sean smiles at the happy couple.
Well, not so happy right now because Calin is still salty over Miles insisting that he can survive on his own, but they're still cute. They're probably going to go back to their place and have make up sex with Calin being afraid he'll hurt Miles but Miles insisting that he can get hard without breaking a bone.
Sean closes the door behind them and skips back to our room to unpack his stuff. He doesn't have much with him other than some clothes, kitchen utensils that he loves and uses often, toiletries, and some personal items. The boxes don't take up much space because there's only a few of them so it is really easy to unpack all of Sean's stuff, fold his clothes, and make space for him in my closet.
"You seem really comfortable with the closet," Sean comments with a shit-eating grin. "Makes sense."
"Ha. Ha. Ha." I give him a swift glare as I continue to put his stuff away. "Uh, can I be intrusive?"
Sean raises an eyebrow and sits on the bed, patting the spot beside him. "Sure. Come here," he says sweetly, and I take a seat.
"Do you want to have sex?" I blurt, before face palming. "I mean, I know we will at some point, but like, do you want to? Are you comfortable with it?"
Sean nods, his eyes narrowed in confusion. "Yes, why wouldn't I be?"
"I talked to Miles-"
"What did he tell you?" Sean asks, cutting me off.
"Nothing, don't worry," I say, trying to calm Sean down because he is very obviously agitated. "He just said I should speak to you due to past experiences... and I was wondering what those were? I know you had a difficult transition to living with Miles but I don't know everything."
Sean sighs and lays back on the bed, so I flop back beside him. "Well... when I was kicked out, I didn't have anywhere to go. It's kind of difficult for a high school drop out to get the money to pay rent in New York. Uh... I lived with a group of dealers for a while and they let me hang around in return for... sexual favors. They'd give me drugs and they kind of eased my hunger at times, so I took them. These guys never forced me to do anything but I won't say I was eager... I just needed a place to stay.
"They got me into some pretty bad stuff but my main addiction was weed. They also used me as a drug runner, so I would go and make the deals and get the money because if I got caught it wouldn't really be that bad for them. Miles, when he found me getting attacked by some rival dealers, took me to the hospital and got me tested for all sorts of STDs, which thankfully I didn't end up with HIV or a long lasting disease. I've never been in a real relationship or had sex with someone who cares about me, so Miles is afraid I'll freeze or something in the middle of it."
I lay my hand on the side of Sean's face, scooting closer so I can catch his lips in a kiss. "You know that if- when we have sex, that if you freeze I'm not going expect us to keep going or have any kind of irritation, right? I'm in this for way more than sex."
Sean smiles at me and sighs contently. "I want to do it, Atlas."
"What?"
"I want to have sex with you. You mean so much to me and I'm not experienced with great sex and I'm pretty sure you have no gay sex experience-"
I cut him off. "I've never had sex with anyone."
"Well, then, neither of us really know what we're doing, but I want to do it with you and only you."
My face heats up and there's a pink tinge to Sean's face as well. "When do you want to?"
Sean goes even redder. "Right now."
