Sean's POV:

Miles and Calin are sickeningly cute.

Bailey lays on the ground beside the couch they are on with the two on the sofa. Calin is on top of Miles, with his head over my friend's heart. Miles keeps running his fingers through Calin's hair and occasionally kisses the top of his head.

I'm not jealous of them because they're adorable and I'm so happy for Miles, but damn! I want something like that! It's nearly seven thirty when the movie ends and Miles' phone rings.

"Stanley?" Miles asks into the phone obviously surprised that the manager and one of the security guys at the Sunrise is calling him. "What's up?"

His face goes from surprised to pissed off in a half a second.

"Dammit," he whispers. "Sean, we have to get to the Sunrise. Calin, I'm sorry, but Sean and I need to deal with some club stuff... I will call you later, okay?"

Calin nods and smiles, but I can tell he's upset. He knows he can't come with us to deal with work stuff, but he obviously doesn't want to be alone.

"Is it okay if we leave Bailey here?" I ask, knowing how much Calin loves the dog. "She'd probably have more fun with you and that way we don't have to stop by the house."

Miles casts me a grateful smile. "Plus, it means I will have to stop by here unless the situation at the Sunrise is drastic..."

Calin perks up. "I'd love to keep an eye on her! Just, uh, call me, okay?" he asks, looking bashful for the first time since I've met him.

Miles nods, looking a bit more relaxed as he kisses Calin's lips. "I will, I promise," he assures.

We leave the building and take the subway to the street closest to the Sunrise.

"What did Stanley say?" I ask because Stanley rarely calls Miles on a night off, if at all.

Stanley is super capable and runs the Sunrise really well. He's one of the kindest and most organized people I have ever met, and I have really grown to respect him.

"He said that there's a guy there who claims that he knows me and is saying that I gave him permission to fuck some guy in the bathroom. He's also extremely drunk, which is worrying because our bartenders tend to know when to cut someone off. So, either someone messed up or the guy showed up partially drunk."

Angry Miles is not someone to tangle with, so I honestly fear for the poor guy who will have to deal with his wrath. The few times where I've really pissed Miles off were when I was seventeen and first moving in with him.

I was mildly addicted to marijuana and had a tendency to go out at night and try to hook up with guys, and it pissed Miles off because I was not the safest about it. There were times when he pulled me out of sticky situations and made sure I would survive the night.

I learned not to piss him off and he kept me alive and gave me a path to a positive future.

The Sunrise is booming when we arrive, as it's the only open club of Miles' tonight, and his clubs are known to be quite the hot spot. When we walk in, I'm greeted by the familiar vibe that I experience at the Ember, and I'd stay around to experience it if we weren't here to deal with a drunk guy.

"Miles, Sean," Stanley says, greeting us. "The guy we found trying to strip in the bathrooms is in your office. The other guy has been asked to leave for the night, but he isn't banned because he complied and was not drunk. We have pictures of him though and plan to ban him if he attempts the same thing the next time he comes in."
