Chapter 19

I came back walking into the house almost 4 hours later. With my hands stuffed in my jacket pocket, and my head hanging low, I opened the door to the house. Everyone was sitting in the living room when I came in. They all rose to their feet

" Beyonce where have you been?" my mom shouted at me.

I shook my head and proceeded to walk to the stairs. Mya came running to my side, she held out her hand and I grabbed it and we walked upstairs together. Once we got to the top, she tugged at my shirt

" Are you okay"

" Im fine, go take your bath and get in the bed "

" Can I sleep with you tonight"

I shook my head " Not tonight Mya, I wanna be alone"

" Don't be sad, it's okay" she giggled and ran into the bathroom. I rubbed my forehead and proceeded to walk into my room. I took a quick shower and quickly got dressed in something comfortable and laid down in my bed. I knew I was going to have to get really acquainted with my room, because I'm sure I was probably gonna be here for a long time. Even though I didn't really do anything. I just cussed and then left the house for a few hours. I just went to the lake to gather my thought. I wondered what made Shawn snap like that. I didn't mean to offend him in any way. I was just mad I guess. Mad he tried the hell out of me. I guess I'd have to apologize for what I said, but he was surely gonna have to apologize for trying to kill me. I heard Coreys voice lead all the way to my moms room, so I knew that they were staying here tonight. I rolled over in my bed and picked up my phone and flipped it open and dialed Kelly's number

She picked it up after the 4th ring. " Hello" she said almost in a whisper. It sounded as if she had been crying

" Kelly what's wrong. Why are you crying"

" Oh it's you Bee" then it sounded as if she was trying to cheer herself up " I..I was watching this movie on Lifetime"

" Ohhh'' I didn't know whether to believe her. At this point I didn't care. I just needed someone to talk to

" So how's New York? Must be exciting now that you got new friends and all"

" Yeah I've become acquainted with a few new people. I've come in contact with some new things too"

" Like what" she asked

" A hand in contact"

" Ewwww Bee, yous a bonafide freak now that you den left Trey "

" First of all, I didn't leave Trey anywhere. We're still together and happier than ever. Second of all, i'm not a freak. My mom's boyfriend's son and I were arguing, and he said something about Trey, and me being Beyonce, I snapped back and said something about his mom. And he ....he lost it. Kellz he started choking me. He let me go and my mom came home with his dad, and they started talking about, how they were moving in our house. I cussed and left the house for a few hours. I came back, they asked questions but I didn't answer anything."

" Damn Bee....." that was all she said, I heard a male's voice and then she got back on the phone laughing like a lovestruck teenager. Here I am, pouring my story out to her, and she's not even listening " Hey B, can I call you back tomorrow"

" Kelly?" she laughed more, and there was more talking " KELZ"

" B, tomorrow alright"

" But Kell-" before I could get out my sentence she hung up on me. I sighed and tried calling her back, but she turned her phone off. I sucked my teeth and called Tey's cell phone after about ten minutes.
