Chapter 12- Why can't you love me?

"Y/n!" was all I could hear before I lost my consciousness and I knew whose voice it was 

Taehyung's POV:

How dare she push Y/n in the water despite knowing she can't swim just because I rejected her? Without thinking twice, I rushed towards the pool, removing my shirt, I dived into the pool. Lifting her in my arms, I came out of the pool as Ji-ah rushed towards me with a towel

"Y/n... wake up..." I said tapping her cheeks but no response

"Let's take her to our room. Hyung, bring the medical kit and someone inform the teachers" I said as the others nodded. Picking her up in my arms, I walked up to our rooms, followed by Ji-ah and Seokjin Hyung. Taking a glance at her face, my heart warmed. I missed her so much but firstly, I needed answers. I'm well aware that she's not the type of person to leave someone. 

Laying her tiny figure on the bed, I covered her with a blanket and sat beside her 

"Y/n wake up" I said rubbing her hands

"Y/n... wake-e up" Ji-ah said burying her head in Seokjin Hyung's chest as he kept crying. My heart broke seeing Y/n laying on the bed, lifelessly. Soon the doctor came and started examining her

"She's okay. She just swallowed some water and is unconscious because she panicked. Does she had a trauma of water or anything?" The doctor asked

"When-n she was small, her father-r killed her mother by drowning her in a pool that's why she's actually afraid to swim" Ji-ah said while crying as the doctor nodded. I can't even imagine what she had to go through. Thinking about which, my eyes started to water

"That makes sense. She'll be okay, just make sure, she doesn't swim" With that the doctor's left. I slowly walked up to Y/n and sat next to her bed and held her hand. I never felt like this. What is happening to me? The same Taehyung years ago with Sung-hee is taking over me. After Sung-hee did something like that, I thought I'll never love someone but Y/n is making me rethink my decision. Why? Why is that?

[Time skip: Night time]

Y/n was still not awake. Ji-ah and Seokjin Hyung went to talk to the teachers about this meanwhile, I stayed next to Y/n. I was feeling sleepy. My eyes were about to close when I heard someone call my name. My head shot up and realized it was Y/n

"Y/n... are you awake? Are you-"

"Taehyung..." she mumbled that's when I realized she was still asleep and sleep talking 

"Yes?" I asked with slight concern 

"Why can't you love me? Why can't you love me the way I do..." she mumbled as my eyes started to tear up. She left me.... because she loved me? 

End of POV:

[Time skip: Next morning]

My eyes opened as the rays of sunlight hit my face. Taking a look around, I realized I was in our room but how did I end up here? Recalling yesterday's incident, I was pushed in the pool by Miso but who brought me here? Ji-ah or Seokjin? My thoughts were interrupted when I heard someone call my name

"Y/n! You're awake! Are you okay? I was so-o worried" Ji-ah said hugging me

"I'm okay-y but I'm sorry-y"

"Why are you sorry?" Seokjin asked 

"You all came here to enjoy and because of me..."

"Yah! Y/n! Why do you think of yourself like that huh? You're my friend and I'll do anything for you! Stop thinking low about yourself!" Ji-ah said while hugging me 

"But how did I end up here? You're too skinny to carry me" I said as Ji-ah playfully hit my arm

"Taehyung brought you here" Seokjin said making my eyes go wide

"Seriously! I've never seen him like that! He didn't care about anything else and jumped in the pool and carried you all the way here" Ji-ah continued

"Where is he now?" I asked. Ji-ah and Seokjin looked at me confused before replying,

"I saw him in the garden" Seokjin replied 

Changing into something wearable, I walked towards the garden. I spotted Taehyung sitting on a bench with his eyes glued to his phone's screen. Taking a seat next to him, he finally looked at me with a shocked expression

"Y/n! What are you doing here?! You should rest! You're still-"

"Thank you" I said 

"You're-e welcome" he replied with a smile 

"I didn't knew you sleep talked" he said making my eyes go wide

"Did-d I say something-g I wasn't supposed to say-y?" I asked hoping I didn't say anything

"You indeed said somethings which you would've probably never told me" he replied and I knew exactly what he meant. I stood up to leave but he caught my wrist making me look at him

"You ended things just because you started loving me?" He asked

"Yes-s, because I knew that you-u would never love me back..." I finally spoke

"And how can you say so?" he asked standing up

"Then do you love me?" I asked and he was silent

"Exactly! Your silence tells that you don't love me, what else did I even expect? Just being with each other, pleasuring each other while I keep falling for you and you have almost no feeling for me? Why? I don't deserve something like this?! I deserve to be loved! Not some fake affections just because we pleasure each other!" I yelled 

"Can't we be just together?"

"Why? Is loving someone that hard for you?!" I said as I felt his grip loosen around my wrist

"You haven't changed a bit. You're still that same selfish guy I left 3 months back!"

"I'm not selfish!" He argued back

"Then what are you? You can't love me but want me to be there with you every time you want to pleasure yourself? Isn't this called selfishness?" 

"Why can't we just be together huh!?" He yelled back

"Why should we?!"

"Because, I-" I want to love you but at the same time I'm afraid to loose you, he thought

"Yes, you haven't changed even a bit..." I said and was about to leave but he pulled me by my wrist and attached his lips onto mine. I tried to push him back but he was too strong until I felt something wet on my face. That's when I realized, he was crying

"I will-l try to love-e you... like you do-o..."
