Chapter 2/1

Sasuke

"Absolutely. I hiphtly doubt Masamune will mind.

(I guess Masamune does like a lot of affection...)

(Plus, it's not like I bought the fabric knowing what it meant. They don't even have flower Language yet!)

I nodded to myself, clutching the fabric to my chest.

Mitti

"You're right. It'll be a little embarrassing to put into words, but it's not like I chose morning glories on purpose."

Sasuke

"Sure. I hope your date goes well."

...........

The sun had set by the time I'd made my way back to Masamune's mano rand spread out the fabric I'd bought on the floor.

('I will cling to you.' 'Entwined with you.')

(I wonder what Masamune would say if he knew I'd bought a fabric with that meaning?)

Once more, images flashed through my brain that had me pulling at the collar of my kimono, suddenly too warm.

Mitti

"It's such a cute fabric, though, and it's not like he knows what the flowers mean."

"Yep, I've decided. Morning glory yukata it is!"

I got started working, figuring I would at least get the pieces cut out and pinned before Masamune came home.

Masamune

"What are you making?"

Mitti

"Masamune?!"

Like a curious cat unwilling to outright ask for attention, Masamune had snuck up on me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder.

Mitti

"When did you get back? I didn't hear you come in."

Masamune

"More importantly, is that fabric decorated with morning glories? It's pretty."

Mitti

"I happened to spot it when I was in town. It reminded me so much of the flowers from this morning. I just had to buy it."

Masamune

"They're even the right color."

Masamune's arms snaked around me as he admired the fabric.

(He noticed it right away! This feels like a good time to tell him about what they mean in flower Language. But... then again...)

(I feel like it would be more significant if I was wearing the yukata when I told him.)

Sasuke's words from earlier came back to me like a gentle nudge.

........

Sasuke

"I don't hnk I'd mind. And I highly doubt Masamune will. Quite the opposite, in fact."

........

(Sasuke had a point. Masamune might even like it if I came on a bit strong once in a while...)

As Masamune drew away, I turned to look up at him, wanting to confirm the theory.

Mitti

"So, I've got a weird question, Masamune..."
