Chapter 2/1

Masamune

"It could be a problem with the door, or maybe something's blocking it from the other side."

"It's also possible Mitsunari didn't realize we were in here and locked it up for the night."

(That las one is surprisingly likely.)

Mitti

"Should we shout for help?"

Masamune

"That might work if someone happens to be passing by."

"But at this time of day, everyone's done with work and gone home."

"If we wait until night, we've got a chance of catching the guards on their patrol."

Mitti

"I certainly hope so."

At least we had that option.

We returned to the archives; Masamune leaned against the shelf.

(This probably isn't the best time to bring up Oshu, huh?)

Mitti

"It's kinda funny we got locked in the archives together, huh?"

(You're such a free spirit that it's more natural to see you outside.)

I laughed. Even Masamune smiled.

Masamune

"It's pretty funny. But we might as well make the best of it."

Mitti

"What do you have in mind?"

Masamune

"You were just reading that book of poetry. Quite places like these are good for composing."

(Oh, speaking of poems!)

I remembered that sheet of paper tucked in the poetry anthology.

Masamune

"Something catch your eye, kitten?"

Chapter 2/2

Mitti

"What do you have in mind?"

Masamune

"You were just reading that book of poetry. Quite places like these are good for composing."

(Oh, speaking of poems!)

I remembered that sheet of paper tucked in the poetry anthology.

Masamune

"Something catch your eye, kitten?"

I pulled out the sheet. There was writing on it in a painfully beautiful hand.

Mitti

"Looks like another poem."

"'I would never tire of these flowers, for...'"

Masamune

"Hey, whoa, give me that!"

Masamune snatched the paper out of my hands.

He read it over very carefully.
