Erin's POV

I don't hate school, but I don't completely like it. It's like when I'm there I feel like I'm one step closer to my dreams.

It's PE class. I suck at PE and sports and outdoor activities. I remember when I was in 7th grade, I'm suppose to catch the ball but I missed it. It hit my face infront of 200 people.

We put on our PE uniforms. It's so short. Another thing I hate about this subject.

"Why is it so short?" I mumble to myself.

"What?" Vanessa says with her sarcastic and high-pitched, annoying voice, "PE uniforms are actually shorter than this. This is not short yet, it's like average."

I frown my eyebrows and roll my eyes because I know, I'm just curious and she don't need to explain the whole thing to me. I mean am I that stupid to her. I lock my locker and starts to walk to the gym, it's huge and has alot of bleachers.

"Line up. Count 1 & 2." Our PE instructor shouts. I figure his last name, Mr. Warren.

So we did. I count as number 2.

"Everyone that's number 1 would be group a. Everyone that's number 2, group b. Come on, let's roll."

I position at the back as usual, so I won't be noticed much.

This PE instructor is loud, he shouts alot.

"I need an assistant. Breana, call Michael."

"Michael Clifford?"

My eyes widened. CLIFFORD? Why him?

"Yes. And Hood as well. For team b."

WTF.

"Sup?" Calum says, highfive-ing Mr. Warren. "What are we doing here?"

"So what do we do?" Michael says, walking in. Not knowing I'm in the same room. Smiling as he notices me, "Hey, Erin."

I force a smile. I bet he's a varsity.

"My two varsities." Mr. Warren says happily. "Teach these ladies how to shoot a ball."

"But we're footballers." they reply in chorus.

"But can't you shoot a ball?"

"We can."

"Take care of these girls for me." She pats Hood's shoulder, walking out of the gym.

"Who first?" Michael shouts to his group.

"May I?" Vanessa shouts, fixing her hair.

"Alright then, you first." Michael says, handing her the ball.

Vanessa walks towards him. I know she has something for Clifford. I can tell.

Then Calum walks infront, shirtless, claps his hands that make us turn our head to him. He stares at our line for a moment, putting his right hand on his chin.

"Come here." He points at me. "Girl at the very back."

I thought I won't get noticed because I'm hiding in the back, nice try.

So I do. I walk towards him. I catch Michael staring again, with his brow raised.

"Can you shoot this ball right there?" He says, glaring at me. Our faces so close to each other.

I clear my throat, "Sure." I lean back a little.

I dribble the ball twice then throw the ball the moment I jump.

Yep, nailed it.

"Good job." He says smiling, patting my shoulder.

I look over Michael, still staring at me. I tried not to but then my eyes lead back to him.

His hands on Vanessa's waist, with smile on her face.

He's teaching her how to shoot a ball. Typical.
