Michael's POV
I hate snow. I hate mondays. I hate mornings. I hate snowy monday mornings.
I grab my phone from under the pillow to check the time. 5:03 am, that's too early but I get up anyways. I toss my phone back to my bed.
I yawn loudly. "Good morning princess, it's cold isn't it?" I greet my cat, Oreo. She's a girl but I end up naming her Oreo for some reason.
She meows at my face, at least she responds.
I walk straight to the bathroon. I stare at the mirror for a while. "I look like a zombie." I mumble to myself while squishing my eyes.
I take a shower even if the weather is colder than usual. I take my black skinny jeans, blacl hoodie and a pair of converse out and immediately wear them because it's freezing.
I walk down the stares and notice my mom cooking bacons and pancakes. "Good morning." She shouts, "You're early today."
"Good morning," I kiss her cheek, "and yeah."
I sit down while she serves the pancakes. I smile at her.
It's just me, Missy and mom in our house. She and dad we're divorced like over 2 years ago. I remember when they just split up, she's really a mess. She can't think straight. But she's seeing someone now so, I'm happy for her.
Then Missy brags into the kitchen, her left thumb inside her mouth. Missy is my baby sister. She's only two. She leans on my right leg, I lift her up and put her on my lap.
"Have you met our new neighbor? I had a conversation withlp them yesterday afternoon. The Reids." Mom starts talking.
"No." I say, narrowing my eyes. I wasn't home all day yesterday. I was at a school field trip.
"You should meet them. Joey has a daughter, Erin. She seems nice but shy. I'm pretty sure you'd be great friends."
"I hope." I reply, finishing my milk and pancake. "Mom I gotta go."
"Okay, be careful. I love you." She says, kissing me.
"Love you too." I shout, walking out of the door.
The moment I open the door, I see a girl with long, dirty blonde, straight hair just across the street, catching snow with her hands. She notices I'm watching, I smile at her and she smiles back, showing her 2 dimples both left and right but her left dimple's deeper. Then I remember what mom told me earlier, the new neighbor ofcourse. What was her name again? Erin, right.
I walk to the garage, where my car is parked obviously.
Just when I'm about to start the engine, my phone vibrates and it's a text from Luke. I was expecting "WHERE ARE U PICK ME UP NOW" but no it's "Radio said no classes today."
Great, I got up at 5 and classes were canceled.
I walk out of my car, shutting the door. I look over the spot where Erin was standing earlier while walking back towards the house but she's not there anymore. Maybe she went back inside because she's cold. I shrug and open the door back to the house.
"Forgot something?" Mom asks.
"No, classes were canceled." I reply, "By the way, I saw the neighbor you were talking about. Erin. She smiled at me."
"Did you guys talk?" My mom says excitedly.
I shake my head no.
"Go to sleep baby your eyes look tired." She says nodding her head.
So I do, I walk to my room and snuggle to my pillows. I wrap myself with my thick blanket, this feels like heaven. But ofcourse, I didn't sleep. I get back up and turn the xbox on to play some GTA. I dunno, they told me that if I continue this loser habit I'll end up alone forever. I can't see this habit as for losers.
Then I remember Erin. She's pretty. I smile by the thought of her.
Wait what?
