It was a casserole. I was right and he was wrong. That has to be a first. Dream's childhood home was covered in pictures and wall hangings. Dream's mom was saying something but George couldn't hear it. They finally came to the dining room and sitting at the table was Drista already serving herself some casserole. "Drista," Dream's mom yelled, "Why are you eating? We have guests." George giggled a little while Drista hung her head guilty and waved at George. Dream sat down first and George assumed his spot next to Dream.

"So George," Drista started, "Are you and Clay actually dating? If so I totally called it and I am about to be flushed with cash." The piece of casserole George was chewing went down the wrong tube and George choked. Did she think they were dating? Why do I kind of want to say yes? "Drista why would you say something like that," Dream complained. "What I am just asking," Drista shrugged. I wished my family could just joke around like this. I was promised baby photos maybe I should bring that up now. Dream sighed and shook his head.

"So Dream are you going to show me those baby photos you promised," George asked, leaning over trying to look at Dream's eyes. Dream chuckled nervously and Dream's mom said, "Umm George why don't you tell us about your family."

My family why my family? My family is a shit fest. No one cares about them. "Well... My mom kicked me out of our house so now I live alone. My sister is the pride of the family while I am a disappointment. She went to college and I went straight into YouTube. My Mom thinks YouTube isn't a real job and so I have to provide for myself. My Dad is rude and abrasive but he is staying with my Mom because she won't leave him," George ranted.

"Woah your family sounds very complicated," Drista blurted out. George nodded, sadly realizing how truly disastrous his family was. Dream facepalmed on the table and glared at his sister. Even his annoyed face is cute. "Our family is complicated with Clay being trans and our Dad leaving us," Drista sighed. What the fuck did she just say? Dream is trans. "Um what," George said confused, "Dream is trans."

I should have seen the signs. The jar in the storage room and the picture that he snatched out of my hands. "I need to leave," Dream said running up the stairs. All George wanted to do was run after Dream but he couldn't seem to move. The shock was paralyzing him leaving him basically frozen in time. I will always love and support Dream but it was just so sudden. "

Drista," Dream's mom sighed, "I am so sorry George. I am sure that was a lot to take in tonight." George physically couldn't say anything and instead walked upstairs to Dream's room. George went to the door at the far end of the hall where he could hear faint crying.

"Dreamie," George said, leaning his head against the door as he felt his voice break. "I know you probably don't want to talk to me but I still love you. I just want to hug you if you are comfortable with that. Please open the door. I really want to let you come out to me the way you want to." Please open the door. I can barely feel my body. I am shocked and sad that Clay is hiding in his room.

I would never hate him and I just want to comfort him.
