Elyse had no idea of how long she remained asleep but when she opened her eyes the room was much darker than before. It wasn't night yet but it wouldn't take much time for the sunset to be completed.

Raising her head, she saw that she was still in her big cage, still with the muzzle on her snout and with a small chain around her neck. Still afraid and confused, she stood up on her four legs to see that the chain was her only shackle, giving her a bit move freedom than before but that was it. 'A chain now... I can't break that' She thought giving up, knowing very well that her claws wouldn't be able to help her here.

Looking around, she saw a plate like the ones of before with one side filled with water in a little hole and some cubes of meat on the other side. It smelled nice but she wasn't hungry with all the meat she got this morning and the muzzle would only allow her to drink. Instead she felt a bit better after her accident, knocked out for a few hours which gave her the sleep she didn't had last night.

Spreading her wings, she tried to fly but the chain forced her to fly two dozens of centimeters above the ground maximum. Restrained but at least able to move around, she couldn't help but wonder why these humans were taking care of her. 'Last did I know, humans were hunting us and killing us on the spot. Why are they feeding me? Why are they keeping me alive if it's not to kill me? Ragh!' She raged not understanding anymore, not that she did before.

Landing on her legs, she looked in her cage to see a nest high in the air but it was too far for her. Submerged with sadness, she rolled herself in a small ball and was ready to sleep on the ground, something she really didn't liked. Tears started to roll on her cheeks and whimpers came out of her close mouth as she had no idea of what would happen to her.

But a small creak got her attention and she raised her head to see Tess's head look at her.

"Hey girl, how are you doing?" She asked turning on the light and walking to her, a mix of embarrassment and empathy on her face.

She saw the tears dripping from Elyse's eyes and her expression saddened a bit more. This sight was really heartbrokening for her and she couldn't help but getting closer but Elyse didn't even react, she just didn't care anymore.

"Hey don't be sad, you're going to make me sad too" Said Tess kneeling to be in front of her. "It's not by pleasure that we put those chains, we just don't want you to hurt us or hurt yourself. You have no idea of what you represent".

'Then what is it? Why am I here?' Asked Elyse in another whimper.

"You're the first dragon ever discovered! I myself thought that dragons weren't real, that it was nothing more than a legend of the past from people who saw something and interpreted it wrong. But no! You're the living proof that dragons exits!" Explained Tess with excitement.

"... WHAT?" Screamed Elyse in a small yell. How was it possible? Why wouldn't there be nothing to prove the existence of dragons? Some where so gigantic and powerful that there was no way to not know about them, some were even renown to be unkillable. Yet this human knows about dragons but apparently no one were aware of their existence, which didn't made any sense to Elyse.

"A dragon..." Said again Tess for herself.

She still couldn't realize it. No matter how you look at it, everyone used to know about dragons. Sure she came to this land because there were no dragons but why did humans forgot about them? Some were far too dangerous and savage to be forgotten like Ankraga the TownEater or Liadrin RedFangs so how could it be possible? When she left the old continent these two were still alive even if she hadn't heard from them in a few years.

"We will see you tomorrow, okay girl?" Tess said standing up.

She walked back to the door and turned off the light.
