I woke up with the sun blaring through my curtains . The clock stated 8:30 and I had to meet Jordan at 9 . I quickly jumped out of bed and found my way to my closet , last night I finished setting up my room so everything was out of the boxes and it was easy to pick out an outfit . I took out my favourite pair of baggy jeans , a white tank top , a blue flannel and my black Yankees cap . I got dressed than quickly brushed my teeth and brushed my short hair and placed my cap on top of my head . I grabbed my mitt and my bat . It was 8:53 , I raced downstairs wrote my dad a quick note and walked onto the front porch . Soon Jordan appeared " hey Elle , you look nice you ready to go ?" I quickly averted my eyes to look at my black converse I could tell I was blushing hardcore at Jordan's words " uh sure pretty boy let's go ." Now Phillips was the one to turn a crimson red and suddenly had a very big interest in his shoes .

We made our way to the baseball diamond and my eyes met with a group of boys wearing team jerseys . "Hey Phillips who's the chick ?" "Why she carrying a bat?" "Girls can't play ball !" "Hey I can too and I'll show you I bet I can hit a homer on my first try !!" They all stared at me in disbelief all except Jordan he just smiled at me and told the boys to set up . I soon my made my way to the base , I clicked my shoes twice and got into batting position . The pitcher stared deep into my eyes and the ball came hurdling at me in slow motion and CRACK !! my bat made contact with the ball making it soar out the fence . I quickly stared to run across all the bases and made my way home . All the guys started at me with their mouths hung wide even Jordan was shocked at my hit . "How's that for a girl ?" They all came running to me apologizing and praising me . I felt so happy that I proved myself . "Hey Elle that was great you really showed em didn't you ?" Jordan complimented . "Cmon guys with Elle I really think we can win a rematch against the sandlot kids what you do you say Elle wanna be part of the team ?" I stood there with a big grin " of course I'd love to know let's go win that rematch !"

I rode on the back of Jordan's bike as we made our way to the so called sandlot ? I don't really know where's we're going but Jordan said they were a bunch of jerks that they lost to last year so we're going back to win this time and I gladly accepted the offer . "OHH NOOO" some kid with glasses shouted across the field . All the kids turned their heads in our direction and started to come our way . We got off the bikes and I stood behind Jordan .
