I woke up at 8:30 and got dressed in some shorts and a black tank top along with my Yankees cap . I met Jordan at the diamond he greeted me with a hug and we began to play some ball . I hit 2 homers that morning and then made my way home to get ready for work . "Hey Elle wanna hangout ?" "Sorry Jordan I have work 1-5 ." I haven't gotten to talk to Jordan as much and we kinda drifted apart . "Oh that's okay wanna have dinner at my place after work?" I smiled at the invite "I'd love to see you at 6?" His smile grew and he nodded . I waved goodbye and made my way home .

I slipped on my yellow dress and placed my hair in a loose ponytail . It was 12:45 so I had to run to mickeys . "Hey Shelly your late ." Awh come on I checked the clock and it was 1:02 " Rodriguez by 2 minutes I don't think it requires that much attention ." He then smiled and gave me a sarcastic nod. " okay well let's get started yesterday we did the rules and now we are gonna work on the handling ." He gave me a nasty smirk " aw god no Bennyman just no ." He started laughing uncontrollably I soon joined in his laugh was contagious. " okay let's actually get to work ." He nodded as I passed him a tray with 5 glasses filled with water .

"Okay hold that will one hand and now use the other to hold these plates of fries , put one on your inner elbow and hold one with your hand ." My smile grew as he was doing it "hEy look I'm doing it !" "Okay now walk back and forth ." He was doing that and then placed them on a table . He started to laugh as he said " Ellie look I did it I'm a pro now !" My smile did not leave my face 1 because of how much joy he had and 2 the new nickname . "I like the new name I see you had some thinking ." He then stated several other names he has thought of "shebly" , "elephanto" , "ella" and "lele" . All of which I hated . Now I really have to step up my game .

Then Bennys mom came to the hack to check on us . " hey guys how's it going?" "Good" "great! Elle here taught me how to do the handling ." Bennys mom smiled "that's great sweetie glad you are getting the hang of it , how about you guys take the rest of the day off and go play some ball Benny said you play too is that right Elle ?" I nodded and thanked mrs.Rodriguez before exiting with Benny . "Hey Benji am I allowed to come to the sandlot ?" He stared at me then spoke "you WANT to come to the sandlot ?" I chuckled and nodded "I don't see why you can't the guys think your awesome just don't like that you're a tiger ." "Well yes I play with them and take the name since I'm part of the team but I don't wear the funny uniform or hate you guys ." He nodded from understandment . "Well I know one thing and that's that you definitely don't act like a tiger ." I gave him a confused look " Is that a good thing or-" " no no no it's a good thing I mean it's because all the guys give us crap and you well are genuine you know ?"
I slightly blushed at his words and he definitely noticed there was no hiding that one . But he didn't say anything he just chuckled as we made our way to the sandlot .
