Chapter 13

“All I did is to love him, hindi ko alam na ito ang isusukli niya sa pagmamahal ko,” Jade said as I watched the replay.

I couldn’t watch it the day the news was aired because when I came home, Dad approached me. He found out that I left the house and thankfully, he didn’t know who was with me. After scolding me, he ordered me to prepare for a formal dinner so I have no choice but to follow him because I needed to be there as a Torres.

“Naging usap-usapan ang pang-aagaw na ginawa ni Belle Ivory kay Zonic Barcelon na tinanggi ni Zonic,” the reporter said when the screen showed her face, “habang ang sinasabi naman ng dating kasintahan nito na si Jade Vermulo ay may third party ngang naganap sa relasyon nila.”

The pictures Cristy uploaded flashed on the screen while the reporter was having a voice over. “Ngunit kagabi ay naglabas na ng pahayag ang manager ni Belle tungkol sa usapin. At lahat ‘yon ay nagpapakita na walang ginagawang masama si Belle.” Even Xyra’s post was featured. “Kahit ang kaibigan na actress ni Jade na si Xyra Legazpi ay nagsasabi rin na hindi si Belle ang may dahilan kundi ito mismo.

“Walang naging komento si Belle ukol dito pero makikita sa post ng actress ang pagiging inosente sa kaniyang larawan. Maraming naniniwalang walang kasalanan ang actress at mayroon din ang nagdadalawang isip.”

“I’m a bitch but I’m not a whore,” I commented. “I can live without a man.”

“Ngayon, malalaman na natin ang totoo sa likod ng mga ito. May third party nga ba? Ano ang totoo? Tutukan natin ang balita.”

The clip was changed to Jade’s press conference and she’s wearing her Monroe glasses. The press asked questions after questions to Jade and Jade answered them with honesty, making me grin. It’s obvious that she’s ashamed of what she did and her own lies. Every honest answer, everyone in the conference room will gasp.

They talked about the third party issue about me, which sides decided to breakup, about her own drama and lies from her previous interviews and post, about what she did to her PA, about her co-actress friend’s post, about her betrayal to Zonic and this part is what I am waiting for.

“Ano’ng masasabi mo sa mga naapektuhan ng issue na pinalaki mo?”

I laughed at how the reporter asked the question.

“First of all, I want to say thank you to Zonic for protecting me and I’m sorry for what I did. I’m sorry if I tried to ruin your name. I hope you’ll forgive me.” She sniffed then she cleared her throat. “I want to say sorry to Belle. She is the most innocent people in this issue. Her name was only drag into this matter and I took advantage of it para hindi sa akin masisi ang lahat and I am very sorry, Belle Ivory, for that. For troubling you. I wished for forgiveness.” And then she bowed.

I closed the video as soon as the face of the reporter appeared. I got my phone and went to my hidden files. I used the screen recorder while deleting the Jade Vermulo’s file name and refreshed it to make sure that I’ve deleted the file. I ended the record and sent it to Jade as I held my clutch and went out.

I have an episode with Every Day segment. Cristy and Yurie told me that they’re on their way to the studio same with Sara and Rana. They want me to be a guest and talk about my previous issue. I had no choice but to accept this because the truth were already revealed. And Cristy accepted this without my permission so I really don’t have a choice.

When I came at the studio, my team were already there. The production staff told me the instructions and some expected questions while Rana and Sara started their work. The director and host of the show greeted me and told me to take my time dahil maaga pa naman daw.
