{Dan's POV}
I flop onto my bed, my mind exhausted from all the drama going on with Phil. My heart still seems to beat faster than before. No. I'm not falling for Phil. Never. He's stupid, nerdy and definitely not my type. Yeah. Totally. Not my type. My sarcastic brain snickers. He's perfect for you, Dan. You saw his room. You know what he likes. You know you like him.
Shut up Brain.
And with that, my eyes droop close, Phil popping up in the midst of my dreams.{Phil's POV}
My blood runs cold as I see that my top drawer - the one with my plush toys - is wide open, my blade flashing under my ceiling light, like a bright red flag, making all its surroundings seem pointless. I observe the rest of my room. Everything seems normal, except for the slight unique scent of Dan - deodorant, coconut and a hint of seasalt. I don't hate the scent, but it feels violating to my room. Why does Dan have to be such an annoying prick? I push the plush toys to the side and curl my fingers around the blade.

I pick up a tissue and cautiously dab the blood from my arm. Then I peer into the hallway, seeing that it's clear, I sprint into the bathroom and lock the door. I slide open the bathroom closet (is it called a closet?) and grab the bandages, gently wrapping my arm with the white material. I slide down the bathroom door, my face in the palms of my hand. 0 days clean, I think to myself. After half an hour of sulking and letting my blood calm down, I trudge out of the bathroom. Luke sits at the top of the stairs, running his fingers through his hair. He only does this if he's feeling negative.
"Lukey? What's wrong?" I question.
"Ash said she liked me, but I don't like her, except I don't want to hurt her feelings." He sulks.
"It's nice that you care about her feelings, but I'd say, don't live on lies. But I mean, you've only met her for a day, maybe your feelings will change."
"Yeah, Phil, I doubt that. She's such an annoying a-"
"Language, Luke." I scold.
He shuts up and looks at me with wide eyes. Then he smirks.
"Mum and dad aren't home, they took Liv to ballet class, so I can say whatever I want."
I weigh the options and finally just shrug.
"I guess so," I start.
"Phil, can we go and play MarioKart?" Luke puts on his "please-can-we" face, which no one can say no to.
I smile."Last one there gets the bad remote." I yell, already halfway down the stairs, hearing Luke stumble on complaints.
{Dan's POV}
My face scrunches up so hard that I think it might explode, as the sun's rays attack my face. I left the curtains open. Again. I tilt my head to the side, my eyes are still glued together. I use the remainder of my strength to open them. It takes a few moments for my eyes to actually wake up at focus on anything. I unlock my phone to check the time. I lock my phone, realising I didn't actually check the time.
I mentally facepalm as I sit up, the speed of the movement making all the blood rush down my body, leaving me light-headed and dizzy.
My eyes keep drooping shut. I don't risk standing up.
I glance across the room, at the clock on the wall. And even after that, it takes my brain a few minutes to process what I see.[6:30am]
What?! I'm late to school. No way. My alarm didn't go off?! Adrenaline wakes me up completely. I spring out of my bed, landing with a thud, pacing quickly to Ash's room. I slam the door open, finding Ash sound asleep. Don't tell me both our alarms didn't work.
I stomp over to her bed and shake her violently.
"ASHLEIGH. WAKE UP. WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL." I bellow into her ear.
I expected her to jump out of bed and have one of her "mental breakdowns" but she only swats my hands away, muttering something under her breath.
"ASHLEIGH. NOW. WE ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO BE LATE. IT'S ALREADY 6:30."
She murmurs again.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?! SPEAK UP. WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL."Her hand shoots up and grabs my bicep, pulling me down with such force I cry out in surprise.
"I said. Dan, it's Saturday. Go back to sleep you stupid clueless whale."
A/N: Just ending it there :)
I apologise for the slow updates and the horrible writing skills. There are a couple of exams coming up for me :( so I can't update as often.
