7. tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber

Yuu watched helplessly as Crowley bitch slapped Ace and Grim with his lAsH oF lOvE. He then directed his rage at Yuu, lecturing them on how they were supposed to keep watch of Grim. He demanded that all three of them wash a hundred windows as punishment, much to their chagrin. They were instructed to meet in the school cafeteria after school.

"...That bastard bailed on us, didn't he?"

Grim and Yuu were in the cafeteria, and they've been waiting for Ace for a while.

"...I wouldn't put it past him. C'mon Yuu, let's go find his sorry ass."

"Alright, but you better help hide the body if it gets ugly."

Grim kicked the door of a random classroom open, with some help from Yuu.

"OI ACE! WHERE ARE YOU?! WE NEED TO CLEAN THE WINDOWS!"

*crickets*

"There's no one here?"

"I am here."

Grim leapt back. "Gyaaaah! A talking painting!"

"Yes? There's me, that man, and that lady over there. Paintings have mouths, so they can talk. Isn't that normal?"

Yuu sheepishly replied, "Er... I'm not used to things like that in my world. Paintings don't normally do that."

"Well, your definition of normal is different from mine, hmm? We should all respect each other's differences."

"That's true. I'm sorry for offending you."

The painting seemed satisfied with Yuu's answer. "You guys appear to be looking for someone. May I ask who?"

"We are looking for a student named Ace. He's got a heart painted on his eye and big sweepy hair." Grim answered.

"Ah, I know him. He's one of the new students that came in today, right? A little while ago I saw him heading back to his dorm."

Grim growled. "Ughhh, this guy!! So he did abandon us...which direction did he go?"

"He went to the back of the east side school buildi-"

The furious furball had already shot out the door.

"Grim, god dammit, wait for me!"

Yuu was about to run but turned back to the painting to give a "thankyousomuchforhelpingusweappreciateitokbye" before racing after the feral demon cat.

Meanwhile, Ace was making a beeline for the Hall of Mirrors to get to his dorm.

"Do they really expect me to clean 100 windows? I'm going back to my dorm. Those two can take care of it themselves." Ace muttered.

"HEY YOU!!!!!"

"Huh?"

"YEAH YOU, YA DINGUS! COME BACK!!"

Ace saw Grim running towards him on all fours, outraged and yelling, with Yuu not too far behind, looking just as mad. Ace had a feeling he was going to get himself beat up if he didn't run for it.

"Geh! They found me!" Ace spun around and bolted the opposite direction, pushing past a dark blue-haired student in the process. Said student stepped back in surprise, only to turn around and see two irate figures coming his way.
