Strawberry Kisses

PART 3

Chaeyoung woke up earlier than her alarm. She stared at the ceiling until she heard the pounding cluck from her phone. She immediately turned it off and got up from bed.

She walked outside her room and was greeted by the breakfast Irene had prepared for them.

"Morning" Chaeyoung mumbled

"You look.." Seulgi said while sipping her coffee. "Nevermind."

"Look what?" She asked while raising her eyebrow.

Seulgi let out a chuckle. "Nothing. Eat your breakfast."

"YAH! Look what unnie?" Chaeyoung asked annoyed.

She hates it when someone started to say something and then end up not telling her what it is. And Seulgi knows that too well.

"Chaeyoung, she's just messing with you." Irene said to calm Chaeyoung.

Her day is never complete without her girlfriend teasing or messing up with her younger cousin.

The youngest pout in defeat. She sat and started eating her breakfast.

Chaeyoung always try to finish her meal fast so that she'll have time to wash the dishes after.

"Yah! Do you even chew your food? Take it easy." Irene scolded. "You don't have to hurry. Seulgi will wash the dishes after."

Hearing her name she shot a confused look at her partner.

"What? You don't have work today." Irene said slicing her pancake.

Chaeyoung let out her tongue to tease Seulgi. The latter glared at her. "Be thankful I've grown to love your annoying self"

"Aww. I love you too, unnie" Chaeyoung teased and Seulgi just rolled her eyes.

She started eating slow and savoring every slice of her food. Her cousin really is a good cook. She don't know how Seulgi and her will survive without Irene cooking for them.

After breakfast, she started to prepare for school. She only have 4 subjects for today and she's hoping she won't have to see her today.

One subject is enough. She thought.

"I'm going unnies!" Chaeyoung shouted while she puts her shoes.

"I'll drive you to school." Seulgi answered. "I have to fetch some files from the office anyways."

"Oh. Okay. But Nayeon-unnie and Jeongyeon-unnie are outside." The younger girl realized.

"It's okay." The older girl answered while getting her keys. "We're going now."

Seulgi kissed her partner's cheek then dragged Chaeyoung outside. They were greeted by the younger girl's friends.

"Oh! Seulgi-unnie" Nayeon bowed. "Are you going to drive us to school?"

"Just Chaeng and Jeong." Seulgi answered while getting in her car.

"Yah! That's unfair! How about me?" Nayeon whimpered.

"You'll take the bus. You're too loud." the older girl joked.

Nayeon run towards Seulgi and shaked her arms. "Unnieee"

Seulgi laughed at Nayeon "Get in the car before I change my mind."

All of them got in the car. As Seulgi expected, Nayeon can't stop telling stories to her friends and somehow she enjoyed listening to them.

"We're here." Seulgi said as she stopped the car.

All of them except Seulgi got off the car and thanked the older girl.

"Thank you, unnie." All of them bowed their heads.

The girl in the car waved them goodbye and started the car's engine.

They all walked inside the building and put their things inside their lockers. Soon, they were joined by Dahyun.

"I think we're all in the same class today." The snow skinned girl said.

"Really? All of the subjects today?" Jeongyeon asked.

"That's good. But I don't think so?" Nayeon said as she throw her arms around Dahyun and Chaeyoung's shoulders.

"Yeah. Not all the subjects." Chaeyoung answered while pulling up her phone. "Just the first and last"

"That will do" Nayeon smiled.

They entered the room and luckily they are early to choose where to sit. They chose the seat at the back and Chaeyoung as usual sat beside the window.

Seats are being filled with their classmates and all are busy chatting until Chaeyoung caught Dahyun staring at the door.

She saw an unfamiliar face. The girl's cheekbones made her face shaped like a chipmunk but she's pretty. Pretty enough to get everyone including Dahyun's attention.

The girl smiled and her perfect teeth shows. Chaeyoung can't describe it but the girl radiates brightness. She's like a ray of sunshine and everyone is captivated by her beauty.

The girl is a real beauty but Chaeyoung is much focused on her friend's reaction. Dahyun formed a small "o" in her mouth while staring at the unfamiliar face in front of them.

The younger girl reached her friend's chin with her right hand as she used her left hand to grip on her chair and support her weight. "You might want to close that."

Dahyun looked at Chaeyoung and was not aware she's been staring at, the new girl for quite a few minutes. She gave a wide smile to the younger girl.

"She's pretty. I know." Chaeyoung knowing Dahyun, replied.

The new girl walked towards Chaeyoung and friends since that is where the free seats are. She was followed by a face the younger girl does not want to see. Mina.

The new girl seems to be close with Mina and Momo who entered the room as well. They're following her to the free seats in front of Chaeyoung and her friends.

"Is this seat taken?" The new girl asked Chaeyoung pointing to the empty chair in front of her.

Chaeyoung lifted her head and looked at the girl in front of her. She was mesmerised by the girl's beauty. "N-no."

The new girl then settled her things. Once done she looked at Chaeyoung and smiled "gwiyeoun"

Chaeyoung was taken back by what the new girl said that she wasn't able to say a thing.

She then heard a familiar voice.

"Careful with the compliments, Sana. She falls easily." Mina said. Her voice is loud enough that some of their classmates looked at the girl she's referring to.

The new girl just looked at Mina and smiled. "And what's wrong with that, Mitang?"

She then pointed and smiled at Dahyun. "yeppeun"

Dahyun can't believe what she just heard and she was about to smile but then someone stomped at her shoes. It was Nayeon.

Nayeon purposely did that to signal Dahyun to check on Chaeyoung.

Without a blink, Dahyun was brought back to reality and realized what just happened.

She looked at Chaeyoung and she saw how soulless her eyes were. It's just..

empty.
