Truth or Dare (Chapter 23)

It was Friday night & I had nothing to do like always.

I decided to go swimming in my backyard pool for a while because I had nothing else to do.

I went outside & got in. I adjusted to the water & then started swimming around.

"KENZIE WE HAVE SOME GUEST COME HERE REAL QUICK" my mom yelled from the slide door.

I quickly got out & wrapped myself in a towel I walked into the kitchen only to find Matt & his family...

"Hello dear Kenzie..." said Matt's mom "we just came to drop off some cookies we made & talk for a while"
"Oh that's so nice of you Ms.Espinosa" I smiled
"Matt why don't you go out for a swim with kenz for a while?" My mom blurted out

She always wants to mess with me, I turned to her & she gave me a small wink.
"I'd love too" said Matt.

He followed me out back & said

"So do you always come out here at this time"
"No. I was just bored.."

I haven't talked to Matt since the day I heard about the fight.
"Why have you been ignoring me?"
"Its not right Matt "
"What isnt?"
"I was so rude to Sam & he probably had the right to explain things to me, plus you shouldn't have said a word to him. If I want to be with him that's my choice"
"But you said you didn't ..."
"Yeah well, things change."

*Matt's pov*

That hurt more than I think she thought it would. If things changed as she said, that means she doesn't like me anymore. & here I am trying to get her to be with me.
"You don't like me anymore right" I said with a smirk.

She looked at me with a concerned look "no, no I don't like you anymore"
"Okay, so if I told you I had a date with Cass tomorrow night .. you wouldn't care?"

She looked at me with pure hatred
"No Matthew I don't care"

Her cold words hurt me but I could have fun with this.
"Good because I think I like her"
"Well good because I like Sam"
