Fun fact: Crying for Imam Hussain (as) and everyone else who suffered during Muharram purifies your soul

Muharram roughly translates to forbidden

Warfare is forbidden during Muharram

Sins are greatly forbidden during Muharram
(Sinful things are doubled the sin)
-like music,
-drugs, alcohol,
-parties is forbidden or to party because it's a month of mourning (you don't party after a funeral)
-other sinful things
-don't fast during Ashura

It is greatly advised to not sin during this month purely for the fact it's doubled, sins are heavier

Every deed, good or bad, weighs heavier on the scales during Muharram

What's the best to do during Muharram?
-get closer to Allah, be better in your faith

-pray more, more closely, more attention to prayer

-go to the mosque

-be extra vigilant; With the right intention, every single action can become an opportunity for reward!

-say salaam more

-smile more and at everyone

-give regular sadaqah

-improve your health; exercise and eating healthy, etc (physical and mental health)

-seek forgiveness

-read more Qur'an

These actions are specific towards Muharram but highly recommended

Can't stop listening to music? Or you listen to music?
One way to stop during Muharram is to listen to Latmyat
Highly recommend Bassim Al Karbalai
