Jayda and I arrived on time, give or take. I shouldered my backpack again as I walked into the gym with Jayda. I looked around, trying to see if Shinso was already there. I saw him waiting near the back of the gym, it was a pretty secluded area.

I turned towards Jayda. "Come on, he's over here." She turned away from looking at a couple working out and followed me.

"Hey, Shinso!" I called out. He lazily turned off his phone and looked up at me, putting his phone away.

"Hello, Kaminari. Hello, Jayda." He greeted.

"Hello Denki's friend!" Jayda said with a giggle. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Shinso grin, but he quickly went back to his usual tired gaze.

"My name is Hitoshi Shinso. What will you be doing while your brother and I are training?" He asked while crouching down in front of her.

"I'll be working on homework, and once I finish that, drawing! Maybe watching you guys, if thats okay?"

"Of course it is."

"Yay!" Jayda cheered. I chuckled a bit.

"Shinso, I'm going to get her set up over there, and then we can start, is that okay with you?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Yeah, that's cool." I led Jayda towards the corner of the back of the gym. It was far enough away that Shinso and I's training wouldn't effect her, but I could still keep a good eye on her.

She sat down, and I placed her backpack right next to her. "Alright my little one, so we have some rules." She looked up at me, telling me that she was ready for the rules. "You can't go anywhere without telling me first, and yes, that includes the bathroom. You can't come over to Shinso or I while we're training unless you yell out a warning, and we acknowledge this, the only exception would be thay you feel like you are in danger, or you're hurt, or about to have a panic attack, and/or anxiety attack, but even then, you need to be very cautious that you don't get in our way, and I want you to stay over here in the corner, and only play with things in your bag, kapeesh?"

"Kapoush!" She said. I smiled at her and ruffled her head. She giggled.

"Alright, I'm heading over to Shinso now, yell if you need anything." She nodded and started on her homework, I went over to Shinso.

"So, do you want to spar?" He asked.

"Sure," I said. Shinso and I got into positions, a good amount away from everyone, and a good distance between ourselves. After a count of three from Shinso, we both ran at each other.

Shinso attempted to punch my right side, but I dodged down towards the ground on my left and attempted to swipe him from under his feet with my own, but he saw this at the last second, and sloppily dodged it. I stood up quickly and attempted get behind him and put him in a headlock, he turned around, but too late, as I already had him in a headlock. He sighed in defeat and I let him go.

"You did good, bro, especially for someone who wasn't in the hero course. You just gotta work on your reaction time and dodging reflexes." I said.

He turned towards me. "Thanks, round two?" He got into his fighting stance, and I followed in suite, smirking.

"You're on." This went on for about an hour or two. We sparred together, even practiced our quirks occasionally. I won the war of sparring, eight to five. By the time we were done, both of our PE uniforms were drenched in sweat, and we were both panting. We sat down on either side of Jayda, and took drinks from our waterbottles.

"Wow! You guys did so amazing! That was so cool!" Jayda exclaimed. I ruffled her hair.

"Thanks little cinnamon." She giggled. Shinso smirked a bit.

"So Jayda, what's your quirk?" Shinso asked.

"Um, it's kind of a weird quirk..." Jayda trailed off, fiddling with her fingers.

"My quirk is weird as well, but that doesn't stop me from being a hero. Don't feel bad about it."

"Okay...well...it's called 'Papercraft'. I can basically use my skin to make paper, and I can make functional origami weapons and tools. So far, though, I can only make simple things, like a pencil, or a paper clip." Jayda explained. I had always thought that her quirk was really cool.

"Wow, that's an amazing quirk, Jayda. I really wish that I had a quirk that cool." Shinso said.

"But you do have an amazing quirk! You can control people's minds! You could corner a villian and immediately make them fall into your control so you can capture them! It's the perfect hero quirk!"

Shinso looked taken aback. I wondered why. It really was a great quirk, and definitely very useful for hero work.

"Yeah, Shinso, the way you used it on Midoriya in the Sports Fesitival was really amazing. Midoriya almost went down without a fight!" I said.

"T-thanks guys. That means a lot." He said.

"No problem, Shinso." I said and smiled at him." We all started chatting a bit. Shinso had asked Jayda to demonstrate her quirk after a while, and she happily did so. Producing a pencil from her left arm. After that we chatted about our UA experiences, answered all of Jayda's questions that we could.

As we were chatting, my phone rang. I excused myself from Jayda and Shinso and went away from them to answer the phone.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi, is this Denki Kaminari, guardian of Jayda Smith?" The person asked.

"Yes, who is this calling?"

"This is Aiko Ito, Jayda's principal. I'm calling to inform you that Jayda, and the rest of the school, will not be in tomorrow, due to a sudden power outage due to a villian." He said.

"Oh, I see, um, is that all?"

"Yes, sir, have a good rest of your night." He hung up.

"Fuck," I mumbled. I went back to Jayda and Shinso, apparently my sour mood showed, because Jayda immediately asked what was wrong, assuming the worst.

"Oh, ah, your school just called and said that you don't have school tomorrow, due to a sudden power outage because of a villian, so, you'll be staying home tomorrow." I tried to seem as calm and reserved as I could, trying to think of a way to make her safe.

"O-oh." She tensed up, knowing what that possibly meant.

"Oh, so will your parents be home to take care of you then? That's good." Shinso asked. We both tensed up more and shared a silent eye. That justified it. I was not letting her stay home alone. Especially if it meant that outcome.

"Y-yeah, haha, how lucky are you, Jayda?" I said. "Well, anyway, Shinso, I better be off. Come on, Jayda, let's go." I said. She got the memo and immediately started packing up her belongings.

"Oh, okay, well, see you tomorrow, Kaminari." He said.

"Y-yeah, see you tomorrow." I said. I felt bad for lying, but I did need to make it more convincing.

As soon as we were out of the gym, I called Recovery Girl.

"Hey, Recovery Girl, it's Denki Kaminari, um, I'm not feeling that good. I won't be able to come into school tomorrow, could you please let Aizawa-sensei know?"
