Chapter 7

~a few days later~

"There's no way you can tell her." Riley said.

Lucas sighed. "I know I know."

"I'm serious Lucas. She's my best friend." Riley said, putting a plate in the sink.

Lucas sat in the chair. "I shouldn't have told you, shouldn't i?"

Riley smiled. "Nope. But there's nothing you can do about that now."

She walked off into another room, leaving Lucas alone.

Lucas grabbed his baseball stuff and headed towards the door.

He had baseball practice every other day, and a game in a couple days.

Before he could open the door, Maya came inside and stopped in front of me.

"Baseball practice?" She asked.

He nodded. "wanna come?"

She shook her head. "I'll pass this time but I'll go to your game."

He went halfway out the door when he turned around slowly. "Wait...where were you?"

"At the grocery store for your mom." Maya lied.

It wasn't exactly a lie, she was asked to go to the grocery store...

She just didn't actually go... Oops.

Lucas looked at her empty hands and was about to say something.

But he was running late to practice so he decided to leave.

Maya's POV:
I've been doing lots of thinking throughout the few days.

Brittany has been over a few times and it had me thinking.

She's a lot like missy.

I went over to my laptop and opened it up.

I logged onto Facebook, even though I never use my account.

I would use Instagram but her account is on private... And I don't follow her.

I went up to the search bar and started typing.

Brittany smith.

I only know her last name because she was in some of my classes in 9th grade.

I looked through some people until I found her.

It was a picture of herself in the profile picture.

I scrolled down and looked through her pictures.

That's when I found something.

Pictures from a few months ago, of Brittany and missy.

They looked like they used to hang out a lot but suddenly stopped.

I leaned back in my seat.

Interesting.
