Trading Time

Part VII

As we arrived, Lexi and I rolled off from our class as we said bye to them. I saw my mom, Jacob, and Mason. Wait, Mason? I ran towards them. ,,Mason?'' I asked. ,,Are you okay?'' Jacob asked me touching my forehead.

I feel dumb.

I slapped his hand away. ,,I'm fine!'' I say walking towards my Mom's car. We drove off.

Lexi ♥: Wanna hang out later?

Hailey: Sure! :)

Lexi ♥: I'll be with you in 1 hour.

 Hailey: See ya then.

,,Looks like you got yourself a boyfriend.'' Jacob said as he brought me my phone. ,,What makes you think that?''  I ask grabbing my phone from his hand. ,,Mason called you for the fourth time.'' he said. My phone rings again and he grabs my phone back. ,,Mason? You and my sis. Are you guys dating?'' he asked both of us. ,,No, we're not.'' I say grabbing my phone and locking myself in my room. 

,,Sorry for that and sorry I forgot to text you before.'' I say sitting on the bed. 

I also didn't know that he is gonna take it so seriously.

,,Everything is okay, I'm also sorry for spamming your phone like that. Did you already looked in your suitcase?'' he asked me. ,,No, I was too lazy to open it before.'' I say sitting beside it.  I opened it to find a Teddy bear, a black shirt, and the picture Vanni took. ,,Mason. You shouldn't have done that.'' I pout.  ,,The black shirt is from the first time I gave you a shirt. Although, I really wanted to have it with me.'' he chuckles.  I wanted to hug him so much. ,,Thank you.'' I said laying back on my bed. ,,Oh and one thing.'', he started, ,,When we're sleeping in one bed, for whatever reason, no one is sleeping in the same room.'' I giggled knowing that he didn't want anyone to see how he was cuddled up on me like a little teddy bear. 

,,What are you still doing today?'' he asked as the bell rang. ,,Well, as you could hear Lexi is coming over.'' I exclaim as I went downstairs and opened the front door. ,,Hey, Hailey.'' Lexi hugged me. ,,Come in.'' I say opening the door wider. I went up to my bathroom. ,,What are you doing after?'' he asked again. ,,Probably getting ready for school. Which by the way you should do too.'' I say raising my eyebrow. He rolled his eyes. ,,I wish I was with you not with school.'' he said pouting. I started laughing. 

How can he be already this clingy?

,,Excuse me, Miss. Hopkins, I don't know what's so funny right now.'' he huffed. ,,Don't worry too much about it. Bye, you dork.'' I say hanging up. ,,Hey-'' he said before I hung up. ,,Well, Lexi I am all yours now.'' I came out laughing.

We talked about our exchange families and how San Francisco was a beautiful place. Lexi told me about the golden gate bridge she was there on my birthday with her family. 

,,Hailey?'' she turned to me. We were laying on the ground. ,,Yeah?'' I say looking at the ceiling. ,,John broke up with me.'' she said. I gasped. ,,What?'' I said. 

I wasn't really shocked or surprised. John was never the best for her. He even hit her once but she forgave him.

,,If I'm honest I cried for about 2 hours, and then the pain was gone.'' she said laughing. ,,Yes, now we're both single ladies.'' we both stood up and danced the single ladies dance.  

,,Ok ok but Hailey I met another one.'' she said. ,,Ooooooh what's his name? Do you have his number? How does he look like? Tell me everything.'' she giggled. 

,,I sadly don't have his number. But his name.'' she said after I tickled her to death. ,,TELL ME!'' I shout. ,,His name is........Gus.'' she said.

What? No way is it that Gus?

,,Last name?'' I say. ,,Beckett?'' she said. I smile widely as possible thinking of ways to tell her that I have his number. ,,Hailey? Are you okay?'' she asked. ,,Wait.'' I took my phone out. ,,Do you want his number?'' I asked. ,,What?'' she asked in disbelief. ,,Do you want his number'' I repeated. ,,From where do you have his number?'' she asked back. ,,You remember Mason?'' I asked. She nodded. ,,Yeah, Mason Beckett.'' I said. Her eyes widened. ,,Holy shit Mason is his brother?'' I nodded. I gave her his number and she called him on facetime. 

He picked the call. ,,Holy cow Lexi! I thought I'll never see you again. How are you? Who gave you my number?'' he rushed her with questions. I looked at her. I noticed how nervous she grew. ,,I'm fine. And she gave me your number.'' Lexi showed the camera my way. I waved. ,,Oh, hi Hailey.'' he waved with a smile. 

Lexi just stood up and wore her shoes and jacket. Suddenly we heard fighting in the background. ,,Is everything okay there?'' Lexi asked Gus. ,,I don't think so.'' he stood up and went downstairs. ,,Dude, what is your problem right now?'' Jack asked. ,,My problem is that what you're saying is none of your business what-'' Mason shouted but got cut off by Alex. ,,Boys enough!'' he shouted in between them.

 ,,I know why, because all you wanna do is sleep with her and then leave her that's all you can do Mason. Do you know how many one-nights stand you have had and then you believe that from nowhere you can start a relationship with her?'' Jack started shouting again. ,,JACK!'' Alex and Vanni shouted at the same time. ,,You don't know anything, Jack. Only because you've never found any girlfriend doesn't mean you have to attack me.'' Mason said following with glass breaking. Vanni squealed. ,,Mason get out, come back when you calmed down.'' Alex shouted. The door gave a loud noise and everything went quiet. ,,I need to go guys.'' Gus said hanging up. 

As Lexi left I decided on checking on Mason. It is 30 minutes after the fight and I wanted to give him space. Meanwhile, I had eaten and it was 9 in the evening. I facetimed him. After the first ring, he picked up. ,,Hey, Hailey.'' he said stressed. ,,Hey.'' I said softly. ,,What's up?'' he asked. ,,I could ask the same. What happened with Jack before. And before you ask I was video calling with Gus.'' I said going into the bathroom. ,,It's not my fault. Jack started saying that I was only getting closer to you so I could use you and move on. He always said that. But this time it was worst than by the other ones. And then my glass in my hand broke.'' He said showing his face after starring at the ceiling. 

,,Oh, I thought you pushed him through your glass door that leads to the backyard.'' I said. ,, No, why would I?'' I raised an eyebrow. ,,Okay okay you have your reasons to think I would do that.'' he said going upstairs.
