Trading Time

Part I

,,Get up, Hailey. You're going to San Francisco today!'' Jacob, my older brother, said.

I totally forgot. I have a school trip "exchange" for 3 weeks to San Francisco. The complete opposite of my town, Denver.

,,Yeah, yeah already up!" I said getting out of my comfortable bed walking into the bathroom.

Jacob and I had a hate-love relationship just like any other siblings.

,,What do you want for breakfast?" he asked as I came out of the bathroom. ,,How about scrambled eggs with bacon?" I asked back. ,,Ok, get changed quickly and then come down.", he opened my room door., ,,And yes I'll bring your suitcase in my car and yes I'll drive you to the airport later." he took my suitcase, went out and closed the door. ,,Thank you!" I yell. 

We know each other like the back of our hands, so it wasn't that much of a suprise he knew that's what I was gonna ask him.

I'm really grateful for him and my mom though. Especially since my dad died when I was at the age of five. My mom is a business woman so we don't have money issues. I wore my black sweatpants with a white tank top and a Grey zip-up pullover on top of it. I put my hair in a messy bun.

I went downstairs. ,,You're coming in the right time, Hayls." he said. ,,This smells amazing!" I say. ,,Thank you ." he nods. I giggled and sat down. He brought the food. Did I mention it's like 10 o'clock in the morning? I started picking my eggs.

20 minutes of us eating and talking about the exchange we finished. We dropped the dishes in the sink. ,,Well, next is calling the exchange student to make sure everything's alright." Jacob brought his phone out. ,,Ehm...is it possible you could do that alone? I wanna visit mom at work before I go." I say. I know it's just 3 weeks but I've never been that long away from my family. ,,Fine, just be by 11.30 A.M. back so we can get there in time." he sat on our white couch. I nodded. I grabbed my purse and went out to my brand new tesla.  I went in and started driving towards a big building made out of glass. It was probably a 15 minutes drive.

When I got there I parked and got out. ,,Hey Hailey! How are you?" Mrs. Will said greeting me. She knows me since my birth. She's like an aunt to me. ,,Good Morning. I'm fine and you?" I say putting my keys in my bag. ,,I'm fine! I bet you're looking for your Mom?" I nodded.  ,,She's in a meeting right now but it shouldn't take long anymore." she flashed me a smile. I sat on one of those comfortable couch chairs they had in their lounge. I took out my phone to text my best friend Lexi.

,,What are you doing here?" my mom asked surprised coming up to me. She had shoulder length hair which fit perfectly to her personality. ,,Hey mom, just wanted to visit before I go to San Francisco." I said hugging her. 

,,I still have for about 1 hour to spend with you." I said after she finished talking to one of her co-workers. ,,Great! How about we go out and eat ice cream?" she grabbed her purse. I nodded. Best morning ever. 

We got into my car and started driving.

10 minutes into  the drive my phone started ringing. ,,Hey mom could you pick that for me?" I ask concentrating on the road. She picked it and put it on speaker. ,,Hailey?" I heard Jacob say. ,,Yeah what's up?" ,,I just finished talking to Mason." he said.

Is that why he called me?

,,Okay anything else." I say. ,,Yeah, my ass." he says. ,,Fuck off!" I said hanging up. I looked over and saw mom rolling her eyes. I let out a chuckle.

We entered the ice cream shop and ordered. We talked about San Francisco.

I checked the time.

,,Mom I need to head home now." I say. We went to my car and drove off. I dropped her at her work and headed home. ,,I'm home!" I yell into the house. ,,Here!", Jacob came down the stairs, ,,Ready to go?" ,,Yup, I guess so!" I said grabbing my earphones from the counter.

We headed to his grey Mercedes. 

He drove towards the airport. ,,Wait aren't we supposed to go towards my school?" I asked. ,,Your teacher called. She said they changed it to a flight." he said finding a parking spot.

By now we were looking for my class. ,,There they are!" I pointed to my  class. ,,Okay, here take your suitcase, hayls. I'm gonna  miss you!'' He said giving me my black suitcase and hugged me after I grabbed it. ,,Bye Jac, see ya in 3 weeks!'' I runned towards my class. ,,HAILEY!'' I saw my best friend since 5th Grade running towards me. We met halfway and hugged.  ,,Come on guys we need to catch our flight.'' Mrs.Jones said. ,,Babe?! I was looking for you like crazy. What's up Hailey." John, Lexis boyfriend, greeted me. I greeted him.

We boarded our plane and sat down. I was next to the window wit Lexi and John sitting beside me. I know they're gonna be all over each other so I plugged my earphones and started hearing music. The sky was beautiful.
