Part X

,,This is where we're eating tonight?" I asked pointing to a restaurant called "The Capital Grill". I turned to Mason who nodded. ,,Nope! Can we please go back home? I'm too nervous. For what are we even here again? Did I forget anyone that has birthday today?" I say tapping my feet. The Restaurant already looked so fancy from the outside. ,,Calm down, Hailey.", he chuckled, ,,We're here so your family can get to know my family and otherwise. And also, you should definitely meet my grandma before you make the same face again." He chuckled again. I roll my eyes. He parked beside my brother's car. ,,To my defense her voice is intimidating." I shiver. 

We went out to greet our families. ,,Hailey!" Mandy said hugging me. ,,Hey." I said. Her black hair was in a high ponytail. Her face with make-up. But too much. ,,How are you?" I ask her. ,,I'm fine. Is this your boyfriend?" she said referring to Mason. I shake my head. ,,He is my best friend." I said unsure. ,,Well, let's go." Alex said going into the restaurant. We followed him. As we entered we saw Markus and Rose waving to us. 

This is a really fancy restaurant. 

Every table was decorated with a red tablecloth. The Spoons, knives, and forks were out of gold and folded into a beige colored silk looking-like napkin. ,,I bet only a piece of bread would be $30.'' I mumbled. ,,Even if, my grandparents only want the best out of the best.'' he said pulling my chair out. ,,A real gentleman tonight, huh?'' Brady asked. I saw Mason gave him the ''ssh'' sign and nodded his head towards my mom. I laughed.

After 30 minutes we all had our food. While eating we talked about each other and got to know each other more. ,,Hey, Hailey?" Rose asked. Everyone was quiet now. I looked at her. ,,Yes?" I smile. I felt Mason's hand on  my knee. ,,So how did you and Mason meet?" she said eating one of her sea food. ,,Well, Mason and I had already spoken a couple of times before the exchange.'', she nodded, ,,But we really met in the hospital that Jill was brought to 6 days later.'' I said looking at her. I felt Mason smile. 

After the server took our dishes, Rose ordered something for all of us. I was talking to Markus and Rose who were beside me. ,,Hailey, when you don't feel good just stand up, okay?'' My mom shouted. ,,Why?" I ask turning to the long silver plate that was brought to our plate. It was full of sea food including Oysters. I felt the food that I just had put in my tummy come back up. ,,Are you okay?'' Mason asked rubbing my back. I shake my head standing up. ,,Excuse us.'' Mason said bringing us to the bathroom. I could see on his face that he didn't care that the girls commented on him coming in here. I bend down and throw up into the toilet. Mason held my hair. 

,,I thought your Mom was joking when she said that you had to throw up by Oysters.'' He said giving me a paper to dry my mouth off. I shrug and went out. ,,Wanna go home?'' Mason asked me. ,,Do I really look that shitty?'' I say closing my eyes. I felt him nod. ,,I'll bring our stuff.'' he said. I went outside and entered my car. 

After 5 minutes he came out and started the car. ,,I'm so sorry.'' I say closing my eyes. ,,No need. My grandma says she's sorry if she knew she wouldn't have ordered it.'' he said putting his hand on my lap. As we arrived, we went upstairs to my room and I took my clothes off. Mason closed his eyes. ,,Thank you. I really appreciate it.'' I say smiling. 

,,One question?'' Mason selected the movie we're going to watch. I turn to him. ,,Can we like cuddle. Like when  one person is holding a person and they're like really close. You know..'' he laid down scratching his neck. I raised an eyebrow. ,,I just want to hold you. I really like your warmth next to me.'' he said shy. I giggle. I saw a blush on his cheeks. 

First time seeing a blush on his face.

,,Of course.'' I giggle laying my head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we started the movie. 

,,Hailey, wake up.'' I hear Mason whisper in my ear. I hum. I open my eyes to see us in our ''as always'' position.

How does this always happen?

,,See how-.'' Mason started. ,,Good morning, guys. I made-.'', my mom came into my room, ,,you look so cute together.'' she stated as I rolled my eyes. We went downstairs to eat and dropped our plates in the sink.

I showed Mason the town including my favorite park. ,,You ready for bed?'' Mason said stripping down. Only his boxers were clinging to his body. I came out of the bathroom nodding. I laid beside him and we cuddled. ,,If you want I can bring you to school tomorrow.'' he said kissing my forehead. ,,That'll be nice and could you also pick me up?'' I asked closing my eyes. He chuckled nodding his head. ,,Thank you, you're the best.'' I say driffting off to sleep. 

I woke you to my alarm. I looked at Mason who was dressed and infront of my closet. ,,What are you doing?'' I ask going into the bathroom. ,,Getting to know you.'' He replied. 

 ,,What did you find out by now?'' I laughed tapping him on his shoulder. ,,That you're an Ariana Grande fan?'' he said making it sound more like a question. I laugh wearing my clothes while he was turned around. ,,Can we go now?'' Mason asked me. I nodded. 

,,Good morning, Mom.'' I kiss her cheek before I grabbed an apple from the counter. ,,Morning.'' she said back and made her breakfast. ,,I'm going to school. Mason is driving me.'' I told her while wearing my shoes. ,,Good luck.'' My mom said. I was confused. I shrugged it off. 

We entered my car and started driving. ,,Thank you again, Mason.'' I said kissing his cheek. ,,You're beautiful. I mean- You're welcome.'' he said. I blushed. ,,Hailey!'' Lexi rushed towards my car. ,,See you. I close at 1 PM.'' I said going out. ,,Ok, see you then.'' he said winking at me. I felt the blush creeping it's way to my cheeks. I closed the door entering my class with Lexi.

Mason's POV

I drove to a hill to see the view.

Perfect.

I drove to her house to see her Mom left a note. 

Mason,

I left sandwiches in the fridge. And there are also grapes and strawberries. And chocolate! Maybe you wanna do some chocolate-covered strawberries? And well, that's all. Again, good luck. She will definitely say yes.

I let out a sigh. I warmed the chocolate while talking with Vanni. She instructed me through the ''chocolate-covered strawberries'' thing. ,,And you're sure, Hailey will like this?'' I ask her dipping a strawberry in and laying it on a baking paper. ,,Of course.'' she smiled at me. ,,What?'' I smiled back. ,,She's good for you Mason. Don't fuck it up with her. She is changing you into a better Mason. I like it. Seeing you happy makes me happy. When did you last touch alcohol.'' Vanni asked me. ,,The first time Hailey and I met. We drank wine and watched a romance movie. I was really glad she picked it because the movie was really lame.'' I chuckled thinking of the day. ,,Okay, Mason enough of daydreaming. How many strawberries have you got yet?'' she asked. ,,10.'' I said looking at her. ,,Okay, now go put the into the fridge and get ready.'' she said hanging up. I rolled my eyes.

 I did as she told and went upstairs to grab my black trouser, not ripped, and black shirt with a red hoodie over it.When I finished everything, I went to pick Hailey. I forgot the food. I groaned and drove back again. 

She's going to kill me.
