18)Back In The Butterfly Estate (Slight Manga Spoilers) (1650)

"OH!" Shinobu yelled as she saw Akari fast asleep in Rengoku's arms.

Akari was immediately treated by Shinobu since she was worried about her more than the 4 boys.

"What happened!?" She asked rather loudly as she began to tend to the young pillars wounds.

"Well i'm not totally sure to be honest..." Kyojuro mumbled before Tanjiro stood up and looked over at Akari.

"I remember that she woke up from the 1st demon we fought since he forced us to sleep. Then we split up the train cars between us while the trio went and killed the demon." He said as that was all he could really remember.

"Yeah and then from the shockwave of killing the demon the train collapsed, she managed to save all the passengers but ended up getting trapped underneath it afterwards." Tanjiro said finishing what had happened.

"Well then what about all the holes in her body." Shinobu asked as she began to seal up the hole in her stomach.

The 4 froze and looked down.

"She protected me....." Kyojuro said as a tear fell from his eye. This surprised them all since it was unlike him to cry.

Zenitsu and Inosuke had begun to leave as Tanjiro slowly followed before he froze.

Now that all the blood was gone he could smell her clearly. This scent..

There was no mistaking it. Is she really apart of the Suji family? I honestly thought she was just trying to stop me from bothering her but I guess not.. He thought to himself before hesitantly turning away.

"Hey hey Rengoku-san do you know why Tanjiro just stood there for a moment?" Shinobu asked as she began to pump blood through an IV into Akari arm.

His eyes went wide remembering that Tanjiro had an amazing sense of smell.

"Ah I might have an idea....." He said before more tears fell.

"Alright. I'll let you 2 be for a while. I'll be back tonight though." Shinobu said as she walked out the door, allowing Kyojuro to sit beside the unconscious pillar.

2 days had passed and she still hadn't woken up.

Kagaya, knowing the relationship between the 2 pillars, allowing Kyojuro off duty for 2 reasons. 1, making sure he was fully healed and 2, so that he wouldn't have to worry about Akari. Even though hes been doing that for 2 days now.

Shinobu made Akari's room private so that nobody else was allowed to come in and see her.

Kyojuro got into the habit of staring at her for a few moments as he just analyzed her breathing.

Everything she did mesmerized him. Akari, despite having a sad past and her being much shorter than almost everyone else, she was cheerful and he didn't know why.

Who could've cha- his thoughts stopped immediately as he whipped his head to look at the girl.

Is that why you keep saying thank you was I really the one to... Once more his thoughts her interrupted as Shinobu came in and changed the IV line.

"Rengoku-san...." She whispered as he refused to look at her. "May I speak with you in my office for a moment?"

He hesitantly nodded before standing up and following her to her office where they both sat.

"You like Akari-chan don't you?" She asked with a small smile on her face.

Kyojuro's face went bright red as he slowly nodded refusing to face her. "So what if I do....." He muttered more to himself.
