19)Waking (Manga Spoilers) (1252)

Another 2 weeks passed and Tanjiro was fully healed while Zenitsu and Inosuke where still a bit injured.

Tanjiro had gone of to see his swordsmith in the swordsmith village. Yet of course Tanjiro's luck was find a demon where it shouldn't be.

Mitsuri, Muichiro, Tanjiro, and Genya all fought with upper moon 4, Tanjiro ended up defeating it. Muichiro defeated upper rank 5 alone.

They all came back with many injuries, plus news that Nezuko had conquered the sun.

Everyone had been so shocked by the news and the appearance of 2 upper moons so they almost forgot about Akari, until some kids ran along the path.

The was an emergency Hashira meeting being held in the garden and Tanjiro was also present, only so he could explain some thing about a 'demon slayer mark', that had also appeared on Muichiro and Mitsuri, as well as himself.

"Well I believe we should some training exercises with you all, my children. The younger, less talented need help if we have a lead of Muzan." Ubuyashiki said calmly.

Suddenly 2 scared figures appeared at the gate. They all turned there heads towards the childrens scared expression as Kagaya allowed them in.

The 2 walked in, they looked like they could be twins but where definitely related somehow.

"Who are you?" Tengen said first as they walked up to those assembled.

"Our parents where killed and they told us to cone here, they said our cousin is a demon slayer and that we mind find them somewhere around here." One of the 2 boys said as the other nodded.

Kyojuro stared at the 2 and all he couod think of was Akari. They resembled her alot. Their eyes weren't the same but their hair was.

"Who's your cousin?" Muichiro asked as they all nodded.

The 2 exchanged nervous glances before turning back to the Hashiras.

"Akari nii-chan...." The one who seemed to be older mumbled.

"AKARI!?!?!" Sanemi yelled as they all looked surprised.

"You know her?" The other one asked as they all nodded.

"She's the Shadow Hashira." Shinobu said. "What's your names?"

"I'm Sokamu and this is my twin brother Sakumo." The one who looked only a bit older said.

"Sorry but Akari-chan's asleep right now so you can't see her." Shinobu said as the 2 looked at her with blank faces.

"I can get her to wake up if you want?" Sakumo said quietly as there heads turned to him.

"How!? She's been asleep for nearly 7 months now!" Tengen said as the children's eyes widened.

"Maybe we don't need to then. She'll wake up soon, but we can still do it if you want us to." Sokamu said kindly, they really were like Akari.

"That would be a big help." Shinobu said before returning to Kagaya. "Oyakata-sama, may you come with us to see Akari or would you like to continue the meeting?"

Kagaya nodded. "I'll join you guys to see her wake up, besides I'm sure her cousins want to see her again."

They all nodded and made there way to the butterfly estate where Akari's unconscious body layed.

Sakumo and Sokamu held both their cousins hands feeling the warmth spread through there body.

"She's warmer that usually, it won't be long until she wakes, only a couple more days." Sokamu said barely more that a whisper.

"Do you have peanuts?" Sakumo asked politely.

Shinobu was confused at first but grabbed a couple peanuts anyways.

The 2 cracked open 2 of the 6 she gave them and crumbled the steps up in there hands.

They then began to feed them to Akari when they all stood confused except Kyojuro.

"That's actually a really good idea.." He said staring at her limp body.

"You understand what there doing?" All the pillars asked, clearly confused.

"Akari hates the taste of peanuts so if they give her the part which taste most like the peanuts then she'll wake up faster since she hates the taste." Kyojuro explained as they all nodded now understanding.

Sure enough once she swallowed them her eyes open as she stuck her tongue out in disgust.

"Dammit why peanuts?!" She yelled angrily as they all laughed. Akari looked. At her cousins who were only about 3 inches shorter than her.

"What are you 2 doing here?" She asked as there eyes went dark and sad.

Akari slowly stood up and got put of bed as they all just watched as she kneeled down to there hight.

"Mom and Dad where killed by him..." They whispered as Akari's eyes went wide. "They told us to run and find you, I think they new you'd be in the corps."

Her face went blank as she stood up not making a sound, but one thing gave of how angry and pissed she was at the moment.

She silently walked out of the room and into the forest with everyone else following behind her.

Kyojuro slowly backed up towards the kids. "When you say 'he', are you referring to her father?" He asked as the 2 nodded.

Kyojuro had an uneasy look on his face as Akari approached one of the surrounding trees.

She quickly punched it leaving a huge hole, which caused it to fall over, luckily not on anyone or any of trees.

They all stood with wide eyes not knowing Akari had this much strength.

"I'm gonna kill that bastard!" She screamed as her fists clenched. This was Kyojuro cue to stop her.

"Calm down Akari!" He yelled grabbing ber shoulder, she was practically leaking bloodlust as Sakumo and Sokamu just sighed and hugged there cousin.

"Its alright...it was bound to happen at some point since Dad left the family business." Sakumo said calmly.

Akari just sat still angry but it isn't as bad as before, it started to turn into regret and guilt.

"I-" she started but was immediately cut off.

"I know what your going to say Akari." Kyojuro said quiet loud. "Its not your fault."

"But......my uncle was just killed by-" she said as a tear escaped her eye. Her crow came and landed on her head, clearing upset with her behavior.

"It doesn't matter ok? You hate your family more than anything so hold it until you have the chance." Kyojuro said as all the pillars eyes went wide.

"How can I stay calm when my own Father killed his brother and my uncle!?!? How can I!?!?" Akari snapped at Kyojuro as tears ran down her face.

"You don't have to stay calm forever, but right now we all need you too." He said pulling her in for a hug.

The twins had backed away as they sat in silence not daring to say a word.

"May I ask a question?" Mitsuri said a bit nervous.

"Fine..." Akari whispered into Kyojuro chest.

"Why do you hate your family so much?" She asked.

"This is why..." Akari slowly pulled away and rolled up her sleeves, and pant legs.

Both arms and legs where covered with scars. They all gasped, basically assuming her stomach, back, and chest where all like that too.

"The only one in my immediate family i'll ever trust is my mother but she died to illness so my family is nothing to me anymore." Akari said before running off as Kyojuro followed her.

"We're sorry!" The twins yelled as they all shook there heads.

"It's not your fault." They all said with a look of determination of there face.
