27) Starting (Minor Manga Spoilers) (771)

"Welcome my children." Kagaya started with worried eyes. "It seems we are missing 2 of our pillars....."

They all glanced at the 2 empty spots where Rengoku and Akari where supposed to be. They where holding a meeting to discuss the slayers development.

"Has anyone seen them?" Kagaya asked as they all shook there heads.

"I saw Akari 2 days ago and Kyojuro was with her at that time." Gyomei stated as most of them nodded.

"Umm I saw Rengoku-sensei yesterday afternoon. He said that he hadn't seen Akari-chan lately and went to find her." Mitsuri said and they all nodded.

Suddenly 2 crows flew into the room. It was Azu, Akari's crow and then Rengoku's crow which nobody knew the name of.

"Caw! Akari has gone missing! Caw! I can't find her anywhere! Caw!" Azu stated before Kyojuro's crow began.

"Caw! Rengoku Kyojuro was knocked out! Caw! By a strong demon! Caw!" His crow said, flapping its wings.

This alerted all of them and they quickly took action. They followed the crows, with Kagaya's permission, and found him slumped up against a tree, his neck was beet red.

"Rengoku-sensei!" Mitsuri shouted as Gyomei carefully picked him up.

"What the hell happened here..." Sanemi said very confused, there where blood drops everywhere and some tree branches in the forest where broken.

"Hey everyone come here!" Sanemi yelled getting all there attention. They all scanned the area as the walked towards the forest.

Gyomei gasped, "Akari goes through trees like that when she's in a hurry. She'll often put too much force in and break the trees and shrubs."

They all began to walk through the woods and then they came across another path.

This one had blood drops leading down to the town at the bottom of the hill.

"Oh! What if Akari-chan got into a fight when she was downtown! Then she came up here and cane across the powerful demon!" Shinobu said as Gyomei set Rengoku down against the small brick wall.

"H-hey guys... Come look at this.." Giyuu stuttered.

They all walked over and gasped, there where 3 dead civilians and there bodies where mangled beyond recognition.

"Can you sense that?" The water pillar asked silently as they all nodded.

It was an upper moon that caused these deaths and probably took Akari.

A loud groan was heard from behind them. "W-where-" He stopped as he saw his subordinates.

"Rengoku-sensei what happened!" Mitsuri said kneeling at his side while he propped himself against the wall in a better position.

"Rengoku. Only you know what happened to Akari...... You need to tell us." Gyomei said and that caused Kyojuro's eyes to go wide.

He tucked his knees up to his chest and then laid his head on them. He was acting like a child which confused all of them.

"Rengo-" Sanemi started but then paused. A tear ran down Kyojuro's cheek.

"She was taken by upper rank 2." He whispered before wiping his teary eyes with his arm. "She'll probably be used to complete Muzan's plan." He paused before continuing. "We have 3 days."

They all stared at him in disbelief. Upper rank 2? They all thought.

"Well why don't we head downtown and see what caused all this blood." Iguro suggested. They all nodded.

Kyojuro stood up slowly and regained his balance and they all began to walk.

Once they reached town it was a little more lively than usual. They slowly walked through the crowd and saw most of them where holding news papers.

They found a building with a poster on it, there was a big blob of writing that read, A girl around the age of 15 knocked out 3 drunk men within seconds. She then dissapeared and we are now searching for her. If you find out where she has gone please contact us immediately.

The hashira stared at the paper. Suddenly something grabbed it, the paper was wrinkled and thrown.

Kyojuro walked away silently, a look of hatred in his eyes.

That's when they realized that he was pissed about the situation. Akari was taken right in front of him and he was powerless so he couldn't stop the uppermoon.

"If I get my hands on that jerk.....he'll never see the light of day again." He said as the pillars watched him leave.

"Maybe we should let him be for now." Gyomei suggested and they all agreed.
