Akari had run off but she knew Kyojuro was right behind her. However Akari sped up and raced towards the cliff, leaving the poor flame pillar in the dust.

Akari stared at the stars, her navy blue hair swayed behind her.

Kyojuro had finally caught up and slowly approached her. "Akari." He whispered as he put a hand on her shoulder, causing her to turn her head towards him.

"What is it Kyo?" Akari asked as he sat down blushing. Every time she used his nickname it created butterflies in his stomach.

"Promise me something..." He whispered as she slowly leaned her head on his shoulder with a yawn.

"Mmhnm?"

"Don't do this without me. I'm always here if you need me ok?" Kyojuro said, causing the girl to calm down and face him.

Tears began to roll down Akari's cheeks, as she nodded her head and hugged him while sobbing.

"Thank you Kyojuro!" She said as Rengoku hugged the crying girl back.

He knew that she could never actually be mad at him it was just she needed to rethink things.

"I'll always be here for you Akari..." Kyojuro said as he heard small snores coming from the girl. He chuckled realizing that she had fallen asleep. He slowly picked her up and brought her back to the butterfly estate where Shinobu freaked out thinking that she was injured again.

"No no she was just tired and fell asleep thats all!" Kyojuro said when Kocho finally stopped freaking out.

The next day came rather quickly when they held another Hashira meeting.

They decided that they would do pillar training for the lower ranks.

That basically concluded the meeting as they all dispersed, except Akari since Kagaya wanted to speak with her.

The 2 remaining in the room knew that the others were outside the door listening but kept it just loud enough for each other to hear.

"Akari, do you feel well enough to participate in the pillar training?" Kagaya asked as Akari nodded her head.

"Oyakata-sama if you will allow me to then i'd like to do a rather simple training exercise." She responded as Kagaya's eyes widened.

"You wish to do the cup challenge don't you?" He said with a small laugh. "I'll give you permission but you must take on at least 2 opponents at once understood?"

Akari thought for a moment before sighing. "I suppose, but just to challenge myself anyone lower than Kanoe(4th rank), must have 3 challengers against me!" She said rather happily.

All the Hashira's sweat dropped realizing that even if all of them teamed up they might not be able to hit her with the water.

"I understand. I give you full permission! But you must find something that the others can do as well." He said.

"Alright! And thank you Kagaya-sama" Akari said as she stood up to leave.

"Please Akari call me Kagaya." He asked as she simply denied the request.

"You are the leader Kagaya-san. When we defeat Muzan, i'll call you that!" Akari said walking out the door and quickly hitting all the Hashiras along the head.

"Oww!" The wind hashira complained as the rest just groaned.

"Don't try to snoop on our conversation next time" Akari said simply as she just wiped her hands against each other, brushing anything off that she picked up from the Hashiras.
