FLUFF
🌩---
Gon was still asleep, peaceful and covered in warm blankets. The sun was shining through cracks of mountains and painting the walls, open blinds inviting it in. Church bells were ringing in the distance too, and the ever-ticking clock had just hit eight in the morning. Hisoka was folding green jackets in the corner of his room, placing them in a neat pile so that Gon could sort them into his closet like he had a few days ago, like he always did.
"Rise and shine, Gon!" Hisoka smiled, lighting a candle and heading over to the kitchen where he'd prepared some food for the both of them, not that Gon would eat it. He wasn't hungry these days, but he was happy, and that was all that mattered to Hisoka. That his son was happy.
The candle was placed by the window, and even as the wax melted it still stood tall. Hisoka admired it's strength, even if it was not living. A raven happened to land on the windowsill, watching with its beady eyes as Gon walked over to the Kitchen, sitting with a soft smile and looking down at the food before him.
"..We can do something else if you'd like." Hisoka asked hopefully, but Gon shook his head. Perhaps he just wanted to stay with Hisoka, yes that must be it..
They ended up watching a movie, as they always did, and cuddling on a couch, as they always did, but Gon was cold, and silent. Gon didn't speak, or say a word.
It has been a week.
It has been a week since Gon has spoken.
It has been a week since Gon has eaten.
It has been a week since Gon has felt warm.
It has been a week since Gon walked without Nen attached to his limbs.
The Nen is beginning to weaken now, and the magician wants to believe he can keep on going.. But Gon's eyes still look dull, and Hisoka is tired. His boy falls forward against his body, and for a moment it looks like he's sleeping. Yet he's still cold, unmoving. Hisoka has failed again, and this time it makes his heart feel heavier than ever before. Perhaps it'll crush itself under the weight of his own guilt, He hopes it does.
Maybe then, he could tell him he's sorry, just once more.
It has been a week.
It has been a week since Hisoka watched his son die.
