When we got back to the after-party the group basically split into two, with half of us still drinking and trying to party while the other half decided to go into another room and wind down while watching a movie.
I tried to party with Simon and Cal for a bit but I was pretty worn out so I walked into the other room and saw a few people in there, mostly passed out on bean bags or on the couch.
As I stepped closer to the couch I saw Harry look up at me. He was cuddled up in a blanket and one of the only people actually awake watching the movie.
I was pleased to see Lexi was nowhere in sight as I sat down next to him, still keeping my distance because of the warning I got.
"Where's Simon?" He asked quietly as to not disturb anyone else who was still awake.
"Still partying." I replied before asking the same question about Lexi.
"She went to another club with some of her mates." He said with disinterest. Why didn't he care where the girl he'd been kissing all night was?
I was pleased to know she wouldn't be here to yell at me again and I let myself relax into the couch a little bit more.
Harry didn't ask before he covered my body up with his blanket and scooted a bit closer to me. I couldn't help but let myself enjoy the feeling of his body pressed up against mine.
"Have you had a good night then?" He whispered and I had to suppress a shiver as his breath hit my ear.
"It's certainly been eventful." I replied replaying the night over in my head. I'd kissed Simon just hours earlier yet here I was on the couch with Harry and my heart was beating out of my chest.
"So you and Simon huh?" Harry asked looking right into my eyes.
"Yeah I'm not really sure how that happened." I admitted looking right back, questioning whether he cared or not.
"You look good together." Was all he said in response and turned his attention back to the movie.
Ouch.
So maybe he didn't care.
I finally turned my attention to the movie and tried to ignore whatever tension there was between us.
The movie was Shrek 2 so it was easy to ignore everything else and really start to wind down.
Harry was an easy person to watch with, laughing and quoting the movie almost as much as me.
When the movie finished everyone else in the room had fallen asleep and it was just Harry and I awake on the couch as the credits rolled.
"You wanna go somewhere?" He asked me out of the blue.
"Where did you have in mind?" I asked and he grinned cheekily before suggesting McDonald's.
"How romantic!" I said being overdramatic and clutching my heart.
"Oh sod off, I can be romantic when I need to be." He replied as he quickly pulled the blanket off of us.
My dress had ridden up my thighs quite a lot under the blanket and I hastily pulled it back down but not before he'd seen.
He slowly looked from my legs up my body and I felt like my entire body was on fire under his gaze.
And there it was again, that tension between us, but right now it was amplified like we were under a magnifying glass.
I was suddenly very aware of just how close we were and how if I wanted to I could just lean in slightly and his lips would be on mine.
I tore my gaze away from his lips and looked up to meet his eyes again but over his shoulder I saw Cal entering the room and I coughed slightly before putting some more space in between us.
