Two updates one day! I'm kinda proud of myself :)

This one is fairly short as you can title it's everyone favourite question that asked as a child. Now it's time for our - or atleast mine - OTP to deal with the hard truth of parenting. Enjoy!

Annabeth had dealt with a lot over the years, especially weird questions. From; gods, parents, friends, neighbours and teachers, she'd like to think she was well equipped in answering them after all she was a daughter of Athena. But she sure was in for a surprise this time.

Annabeth was finishing up some blueprints an hour before work on the living room coffee table, Percy her husband, was in the kitchen clearing up after breakfast and her son, Luke was reading a book for his English class.

A pretty normal morning in the Jackson household.

That is until her daughter Silena came rampaging in with her messy dark hair flying all over the place. She'd gotten the messy part from Percy. Silena was a rather curious child, a trait that Annabeth's husband said she got from her. Annabeth wanted to disagree but for once he was right.

"Mommy! Mommy!"

"Yes, Lena what is it? Do you want help with your hair?" Annabeth said finishing the last stroke on her design before turning to her eager child.

"Silena can you be a little quieter, it's too early for you to be yelling," Luke said yawning and scribbling something down in his notebook.

"You be quieter!" The girl stuck out her tongue at her older brother.

"Silena, what is it?" Annabeth asked as the little girl climbed onto her lap.

"You know everything, right?" Annabeth would like to think that she did, but she didn't. She knew a lot of information, maybe not everything, but she was smarter than most people so she was sure she could answer her daughter's question.

What could a six-year-old even ask?

"Yeah, she does know everything, doesn't she?" Percy said. Annabeth sighed, Percy had a thing for exaggerating her talents.

"Not everything, but what were you going to ask?" Annabeth said looked down at her daughter, she stared back at her with big grey eyes another thing she also got from her mother.

"Where do babies come from?" The girl asked innocently.

Annabeth was glad she wasn't holding coffee.

She could answer the question, but she didn't want to. She looked over at her husband and her son who'd found out a couple of years ago thanks to a sex-ed class and an awkward father-son talk.

She looked over at a very uncomfortable Percy again and mouthed what do I tell her?

He mouthed back I don't know why are you asking me? You're the smart one.

Annabeth tried to think of how she dealt with this question when Luke asked but she couldn't remember.

Because he never did.

Luke and Silena were very different in appearances and personality, much like their parents.

Luke was a lot like his mother, he could've passed for Annabeth's mother's child if she didn't know he was hers. Luke was ADHD but he was rather good at controlling it, again like his mother. He'd had been quite a reserved child growing up, now this didn't mean he was quiet however seeing as he was still his father's son and Percy was anything but quiet. It just meant that he preferred books over people, as he was also the only family member without Dyslexia.

Silena was a lot like her father. She was loud and unbelievably energetic, Annabeth had no idea how she wasn't the one with ADHD. Silena didn't speak unless she was yelling and she also never stopped speaking. But again because she was her mother's daughter too, she asked a lot of questions. The mix between Percy and her own personality had led to a lot of weird questions, and she'd ask these questions whenever to whomever she could. Annabeth loved their daughter with all her heart, soul and mind, she'd given anything up to protect her family, anything. But Silena could be quite the handful, she even tired Percy out.

Did she mention that Luke also got his father's sense of humour?

"A baby is born when two adults have-"

"Luke!" Percy and Annabeth shouted.

"What? I'm just telling her the truth." Annabeth's son shrugged. "You guys are the ones who told me never to lie." Her son defended.

"Well sometimes lying is okay in the right situation," Percy said.

"I'm just saying."

"Luke I think that's enough out of your mouth, why don't you grab your stuff and drop your sister off at school," Annabeth suggested.

"Eh sure, but if she asks me I'm leaving her on the sidewalk."

"Don't do that," Percy sighed.

"I'm joking, Dad." Luke picked up his stuff and left the living room.

"Well, you heard your brother go get your stuff."

"But Mommy you haven't told me where babies come from!" Silena whined.

Silena was also stubborn.

"Silena their something's that you'll find out when your older," Annabeth explained.

"But I'm already older, I'm six!" For some unknown reason, little children had a thing for thinking that once they were six they were full adults.

"Ok, how about when you come back from school I'll tell you." Annabeth knew that Silena would probably forget about the whole ordeal in a couple of hours but if she didn't she'd ask someone else. And that could be worse.

"But what if you lying!"

"I'm not lying, I promise."

"Pinky promise." Her daughter said holding out a small pink finger.

Annabeth curled her own pinky around her daughter's. "Yes, I pinky promise."

"Ok!" It seemed she believed her because she ran to her room to get her schoolbag.

Mission accomplished.

"You're not actually gonna tell right, Wise Girl," Percy asked.

"Of course not, I didn't swear on the Styx, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth told her husband using his childhood nickname she came up with thirty years ago.

"Bye Mom, Bye Dad," Luke said. "Silena hurry up! Some of us have places to be!"

"I'm hurrying!" Her daughter said rushing out with her bag that was still a little too big for her even if she insisted she was fine.

"Bye, Mommy! Bye Daddy!"

"Bye! Don't run!" Percy called after the six-year-old.

"Luke don't say anything," Annabeth said to the teen who was grabbing the little girl's hand.

"No promises, Mother." He said walking through the door behind Silena.

Annabeth sighed and looked over at Percy. "He gets that from you."

He laughed and smirked at her. "Noted."
