This world is dominated by a superhuman society. With almost 80 percent of the people having a unique power, called a Quirk. However, our story focuses on someone who doesn't have one of these powers. A young man named Y/N L/N.
You open your eyes to see a figure. You can't see any details of this figure, but it doesn't feel hostile. It approaches and puts a hand to your face. You notice the only clear feature is a strange belt.

You jump up and find yourself in class. A bunch of the students begin to laugh.
Teacher: Seriously, L/N. Do you really expect to get into a good high school when you keep falling asleep in class? Actually... According to the papers everyone filled out, you plan on going to UA, don't you? Same as Midoriya.
This causes most of the class to laugh even more. A boy with spiky blonde hair slams his hand on your desk, causing a small explosion. This is Katsuki Bakugo, the class's student in most need of anger management.
Bakugo: As if you two Quirkless losers will ever get into UA! Don't even bother! I'm the only one out of this damn class getting into UA!
Despite this, you don't bat an eye. You're used to Bakugo's explosive tantrums. Bakugo however doesn't take that well though.
Bakugo: React damn you!!!
Bakugo tries to hit you but you move out of the way.
Y/N: You seriously need therapy.
The bell rings and you get up and leave with your stuff. You walk down the street and watch as heroes chase a villain.
Your Thoughts: Quirks...
(Flashback)
You were at the doctor with your mom. The two of you were there to find out why your Quirk hasn't manifested yet.
Doctor: Do you have a Quirk, Mrs. L/N?
Mom: Yes. I have an arm stretching Quirk. His late father had a thermal body power.
Doctor: I see.
He looks at you.
Doctor: Sorry, kid. You're part of the minority that will never develop a Quirk.
This leaves you stunned.
Young Y/N: ... Eh?
(End of Flashback)
Your Thoughts: Who needs a Quirk to be a hero... I can do it... I promised Dad...
You get pulled from your thoughts by a TV in a shop window and see the news.
Reporter: We are here live at the Museum of Hero History where they have just finished the display for a strange new artifact. Could this artifact have something to do with the origin of Quirks? Perhaps predating the glowing baby?
Y/N: Guess I got time to kill before heading home...
You head towards the museum and find your way to the new exhibit. Seeing the item on display causes you to do a double take.
