We find you, Garima, and Hongo in Hongo's garage where you tell him about Garima's story.
Garima: Please forgive me for hiding this from you.
She bows in apology.
Hongo: It's alright. I understand why you would hide something like that. You weren't sure you could fully trust us.
Y/N: But if you don't mind me asking. Can you give us any details on the Gurongi? Any weaknesses?
Garima: Well... We weren't always like this. We were like any other tribe of people back then. But we found a meteorite containing a strange metal. We used that metal to make weapons and armor. But that's what eventually transformed us and granted our abilities. As for weaknesses... The biggest one is your own power as Kuuga. When you strike one of us using your powers. It can cause a reaction in the metal we integrated into ourselves, causing an explosive reaction.
Y/N: That explains the Gurongi I've taken out before...
Garima: That aside, we're more durable than average humans but that doesn't mean we're invincible. I've heard that the heroes you call Hawks and Endeavor have managed to defeat some as well.
Hongo: I see... Maybe we can get their help.
Your phone's notification sound goes off and you look to see Aoi texted you.
Aoi (Text): Hey, Togata-senpai brought Eri to see us. She asked if you were going to be at the Festival.
Y/N: Crap... I forgot about that...
Hongo: What?
You explain the School Festival and how Eri was expecting you there. Garima looks curious.
Garima: A Festival? It sounds fun.
Y/N: I promised Eri I'd be there but I need to deal with the Gurongi.
Hongo: Y/N.
Your mentor puts his hand on your shoulder.
Hongo: I understand how you feel but you're also still a student. Let Garima and I handle the Gurongi for the time being. I'll try to get in contact with other heroes to lend a hand as well.
Garima: Right.
Y/N: But...
Hongo: It will be alright. Go enjoy some personal time. Everyone deserves to enjoy themselves.
You sigh.
Y/N: Fine... But I'll be back to help you after the Festival.
Hongo: Deal.
You drive back towards UA and you think about everything that's going on.
Your Thoughts: Not only do we have Daguva and the Gurongi to worry about... But Shigaraki and the League of Villains are still out there somewhere. We need to stay alert.
You reach the 1-A Dorms and you find Ashido and several of your classmates rehearsing for the Festival.
Y/N: Hey guys.
When they realize you're back, they surround you.
Ashido: Where were you?!
Kirishima: Dude, everyone was worried sick.
Kaminari: Especially Aoi.
You notice your girlfriend isn't with the others.
Y/N: Speaking of, where is she?
You suddenly get tackled to the ground and nearly get the wind knocked out of your lungs. You see Aoi on top of you with a look of anger and worry.
Aoi: You left without telling anyone. You know how worried I was before we talked on the phone the other day? I swear if you disappear like that again-
You laugh as you feel the tension you've built up the last few days crumbles away.
Y/N: Consider me warned. I missed you too.
The two of you share a kiss before Aoi lets you up.
Sero: So where did you even go, dude?
Y/N: I... Had to handle some hero stuff. Can't really talk about it.
The class seemingly buys the story and you change the subject.
Y/N: So, how's the routine coming?
Ashido talks about how Bakugo is surprisingly a really good drummer but Midoriya had to be put on the effects team. The class all seems excited for the whole thing and you can't help but smile.
Your Thoughts: I guess Hongo-san was right.
Meanwhile the bat Gurongi stumbles into Garaki's lab.
Goma: You... Human...
Due to his broken teeth, his words come out a bit slurred.
Garaki: You must be one of Daguva's lackeys.
Goma: Make me stronger...
Garaki: And why would I?
Goma: To prove your genius...
Garaki ponders for a moment before sighing.
Garaki: It would be interesting to see how your body responds to the process... Very well. But I hope you're aware that this can potentially kill you.
Goma: I'll take that chance... I want to be stronger... Not only strong enough to kill Kuuga... But strong enough so that the great Daguva will bow to me!
