Part 18: Back to the Fray

It's been a few hours since your battle with Stain. Todoroki, Iida, Midoriya, and you go to the hospital to make sure you're alright. The doctors find you completely fine since Stain couldn't land a clean hit on your Titan form plus your rapid-healing. Todoroki was injured the least out of the other three, only getting some cuts, Midoriya ended up hurting his arm with his Quirk again as well as some cuts the Hero Killer caused, but Iida had it worse than any of you, with his hand alone needing surgery just for a chance for it to heal properly.

You try to take your mind off things and try calling Aoi.

Aoi: Hello?

Y/N: Hey. Were you busy?

Aoi: Not really. Tsuyu-chan and I are taking a lunch break before getting back to training. I saw Midoriya's message with that location on it. Were you able to get there?

You wait a minute... You don't want to lie about fighting Stain but you also don't want to worry Aoi.

Y/N: Yeah, my pro and I were in the area. It was a purse snatcher.

Aoi: Sending his location like that for a purse snatcher seems kind of extreme.

Y/N: Yeah but you know how Midoriya's Quirk is. If he didn't have any backup he could've gotten seriously hurt.

Aoi: Good point... Are you okay?

Y/N: Yeah. You don't need to worry about me. Just keep your mind on your work study. I'll talk to you later.

Aoi: Alright. Later.

The two of you hang up and you look at your phone.

Your Thoughts: I hope her work study's going well...

You round a corner to see Hongo.

Y/N: Hongo-san. What brings you here?

Hongo: I came to check on you. Are you hurt?

Y/N: Not really. Part of my Kuuga abilities is accelerated healing. Besides, Stain's blades couldn't put a scratch on my Titan armor.

Hongo: That's good to hear.

Y/N: Oh. I heard that you had your teaching license suspended because of my actions. I'm sorry.

You bow but Hongo makes you stand straight.

Hongo: Don't worry about it. I didn't choose you because I'm a teacher. I chose to train you because we are Kamen Riders.

Y/N: ... Right!

Hongo: So... Ready to continue your training?

Y/N: But...

Hongo: Not as a teacher. As a fellow Rider.

You smile and nod.

Y/N: Right.

Meanwhile...

Daguva: So our little Hero Killer got caught... Pity. He was strong.

Shigaraki: Shut up... I hate that guy so much. I'm glad he was caught.

Kurogiri: We did lose a strong asset however...

Daguva: Oh well.

The Gurongi stands up and sighs.

Shigaraki: Off to go find another meal?

Daguva: No... How does the saying go? "I'm going to get some air?"

Shigaraki narrows his eyes at Daguva. The Gurongi walks out and the villains watch.

Shigaraki: ... I don't trust that freak...

Kurogiri: Even so, he is still a useful asset to us. Have patience, Tomura Shigaraki...
