You wake up the next morning to the smell of breakfast. You enter a second room to find a kitchen where Hongo has prepared tomagoyaki, rice, and grilled fish.
Hongo: Morning.
Y/N: Good morning.
You sit down as Kiri steps in. She sniffs the air and looks at the food.
Kiri: What is that?
Y/N: Breakfast. Rice, grilled fish, and tomagoyaki.
Kiri: Tomagoyaki?
Y/N: It's a type of omelette.
Kiri still looks confused.
Y/N: Um... It's eggs.
Kiri: Oh. Well it smells delicious.
Hongo: Help yourself. There's plenty for all of us.
Kiri sits down and you put your hands together.
Y/N: Thank you for the food.
You start eating and notice that Kiri is wolfing down her food.
Your Thoughts: Was she that hungry? Then again, she was homeless so this might be the best meal she's had in a while...
After breakfast, Hongo and you prepare to leave again.
Hongo: We'll cover more ground if we split up.
Y/N: Right. Remember to take them out as soon as possible. The faster we can deal with them, the more people we can save.
Kiri: Um...
You turn to the green haired girl.
Kiri: I want to go with you.
Y/N: Absolutely not. It'll be too dangerous.
Kiri: What if one of those things comes here? Wouldn't I be safer with you?
You pause and realize she has a point. You sigh before giving her a helmet.
Y/N: Okay, you're with me. But the second things get dicey, run for it.
Kiri: Right.
You split up from Hongo and take Kiri to a park by a river.
Y/N: This is a populated place. The Gurongi might try something here.
The two of you hop of your motorcycle.
Y/N: Henshin!
You transform into Pegasus and change to Rising Pegasus. Using the form's enhanced hearing, you try to pinpoint any Gurongi activity. You hear something strange moving in the water and you go to shoot it but a spear suddenly shoots out of the water and impales your shoulder, pinning you to a tree.
Kuuga: Gah!
Kiri: L/N!
A Gurongi steps out of the water as civilians run away.

??-?????-??: Look what I found. Kuuga and a new target.
You try to rip the spear out of your shoulder but scream in pain.
Kuuga: Kiri! Run!
Kiri tries to back away.
??-?????-??: No you don't!
She throws a second spear right at the green haired girl.
Kuuga: No!
But before the spear can hit her, Kiri suddenly pulls out a curved double bladed sword, slicing the spear in half.
Kuuga: W-What?
Kiri's body changes and reveals...

Kuuga: Kiri?
??-?????-??: Well well... The runaway. Were you planning to kill Kuuga without him knowing?
Kiri?: No!
She lunges at the other Gurongi and slashes her with her blades.
Kiri?: The pointless killing will only lead to our people's demise! Just as it nearly did all those years ago!
The two fight, spear against sword as you try to get free from the spear in your shoulder, but you wince again.
??-?????-??: You truly are pathetic. I'll be happy to be the one who takes your life!
She knocks Kiri's blade out of her hands and goes for the killing blow.
Kuuga: No!
You de-transform and blast a current of gold fire at the spear wielding Gurongi, distracting her long enough for Kiri to recover her weapon and slice the Gurongi in half.
??-?????-??: Damn you... Garima...
The Shark Gurongi falls and Kiri sighs before turning to you. She approaches and uses her blades to cut the spear, making it easier to free you.
Kiri?: Are you okay?
Y/N: I'll be fine... But you're...
Kiri?: A Gurongi...
She returns to her human form and her weapon vanishes.
Kiri?: My real name is Me-Garima-Ba. I... Have a lot to explain...
The two of you get to somewhere private so Garima can explain herself.
Garima: As you probably know, the Gurongi have a death game, the Gegeru...
You nod.
Garima: The original Kuuga defeated us all those years ago in order to put a stop to it.
Y/N: And you don't want any part in it anymore?
Garima: That wasn't the case originally. Before... It felt... Amazing... But after our kind were sealed away, I realized that we were fools. So when we were let free...
Y/N: You decided to run away.
She nods and looks at her hands.
Garima: I disguised myself to blend in and try to hide. Though I have had a few run ins with other Gurongi that I had to kill to defend myself. The Gurongi aren't very forgiving of those who run away or refuse to partake in the Gegeru.
Y/N: I see...
Garima: I'm sorry for hiding my identity. I was afraid you would have killed me on sight.
Y/N: I can't really blame you.
You stare at the sky and think.
Your Thoughts: Are all Gurongi capable of being like her? Or is she an exception...
You stand up and look at Garima.
Y/N: We should regroup with Hongo-san. We've been out here for a while.
Garima: Are we...
Y/N: We don't have to tell him if you don't want to.
She takes your hand as you help her up. The two of you then leave to regroup but unbeknownst to you, a strange but small Nomu waddles out of hiding and grabs the Shark Gurongi's body, vanishing with it.
