As Karina had left the tower, she had met a she elf, who guided her to her room; stating that since she is human, she would need her rest.
The she elf, did not mean it in a distastful way, but it was common knowledge that humans were weaker compared to elves.
During the walk there, the elegant creature had stated that Karina will meet her temporary maid in the morning.

''Oh no that's fine. I don't want anyone troubling themselves for me.''

That sentence caught the elf off guard, making her pause and looking at her guest. ''What ever do you mean?'' She asked curiously.

''I mean, it's alright. I don't need a maid, even because, I'm pretty sure I can handle things. After all, I will not be staying for long. I know I am not exactly welcomed here.''  Karina said laughing lightly to dim the heavy atmosphere. Even though she knew it wasn't doing much.

The she elf turned, fully facing Karina. ''Lady Karina-'' The title made Karina blush and stammer, stating that she didn't have to adress her like that. The elf only chuckled lightly. ''Lady; Karina, please do not think that all of us are like Aelfric or Prince Nuada. Even though, from how I see it, he doesn't seem to resent humans anymore. Which also makes me wonder what type of spell you casted upon him...'' The woman said, as she made a face as if she were actually pondering over the matter.

''I placed no spell thank you very much!I wouldn't even know how to do that..'' Karina said pouting, earning a chuckle from the graceful creature.

''Before I continue my speech, my name is Thalantel. I am part of the royal court, and is the lady in waiting of Queen Nuala.'' Said Thalantel, doing a little curtsey. Karina simply bowed her own head in response. ''I would introduce myself but you already know my name.'' The Cryokinetic female stated, with one of her sweet signature smiles.
Thalantel stared at the girl for a bit before proceeding down the hall towards Karina's room.

''Lady Karina, it is true, your kind does bring us great problems, but people like I, her Majesty and now the Prince Nuada, knows that not all humans are the same. And despite it being the Prince alone, to want to bring mankind to an end, there were people like Aelfric who did harbor his same feelings. Meaning, they didn't like humans either. And still do not now. Although, despite people's hatred for your kind, everyone agreed that his grace had gone too far.''

Thalantel glanced at Karina seeing how she became quiet. Her gaze, now distant, hard  and barren of emotion on her face.
''Ah..I see you have recently come to know of the Prince's crime... You both seem close. After all, and it is quite a startling information.''
Karina still remained quiet.

They had finally reached her room.
Karina had apologised for being so quiet, but the she elf shook her head stating to take all the time she needed to get over the shocking news. She also mentioned that she should ignore people like Aelfric, who will definitely be a thorn to her side.

''He is ignorant and refuses to see good in things sometimes. His vision is obscured by his hatred.''

''Don't worry.'' The human girl replied. ''Nuada was a real task to face. I can take Aelfric on any day, and whether he likes it or not he would have to at the very least, tolorate me.'' Karina said laughing, which earned a laugh from her other female companion.

''Very well then. I wish you goodnight Lad-''

''Karina. Please. I am starting to see you as a friend. So please just call me Karina.''

As Thalantel walked down the long hallways, she caught a glimse of Aelfric. The male usually had a frown gracing his masculin features, but this evening, he had a serene expression.
Thalantel sighed.
She had just spoken for a couple of minutes to the girl, and she can tell that Karina is kind hearted. She enjoyed the girl's energy, and she can tell why the Prince had fallen for her. She is quite the beauty. Both in and out. At least, Thalantel hoped that her intuition was not deceiving her.
She just hoped that others could look beyond the flaws that humans carried.

The woman had reached her chambers, now brushing through her golden locks, that reached the end of her back. Her thoughts drifting back to the human female.

''I hope she will fend well during her stay..''
