The Rescue

Jodi's POV

"Alright every on in position"  the buses are coming up now. Andy Lauren do your thing" I say in their minds. As time goes by the trucks aren't stopping "Andy Lauren what's going on up there it's time to stop the buses" all I could hear was Lauren yelling at Andy then after that one of the bus tires popped but it was in the wrong place. "Shit okay everyone stay where you are John Clarce go find somewhere she can safely portal you into the bus from. Marco's team get ready to run if needed to there getting into defense position".

"Fuck did you guys feel that?" I asked everyone through mind link. " Yeah that was weird I'm going to go check it out" alright I'm coming with you let's go". "Why can't are abilities work what's going on" Clarce "not what who" he answered pointing to a guy across from us surrounded by soldiers. So he's blocking our powers" I asked flustered "yeah". "Go let's go out there and stop him".  "Andy Lauren can you hear me" yeah but our powers aren't working" "I know it's happening to everyone look I need you to take your human mom and get out of here it's not safe we'll get your dad just go". "But- no buts go now!".

"How are we going to stop him if we don't have our power" " Look I don't know why but my powers still works I can stop him you go make sure the others are okay" I said practically pushing him to move. "Okay just please don't hurt him he's my best friend" "I won't now go help the others." with that he was gone.

As I walked up to the soldiers they start shouting at me to get on the ground. By the time I had gotten to them they were shooting and cussing at me. Finally I hand enough I ran up to the first man and jumped on his neck swing him down to the ground then stomping on his chest breaking a rib or two. 

 The other two agents tried to double team me by grabbing my shoulder turning me around. When the first one kicked at me I grabbed his foot twisting until I heard a crack then swinging his body to hit the other agent.

Once he was down I got on top of him and smashed his head into the ground. Than getting up to see the last agent trying to run I used my electric whip to hit him in the back making him drop to the ground and pass out.

I looked at the man stopping all of our powers. "Look man I don't know whats going on or why your doing this but you need to stop I don't want to hurt you but I will if I have to  so just stop this and we'll talk." 

Before I could even move he lunged at me remembering the promise I made to John I put my whip away and just grabbed him and threw him down to the ground look john sent me and I don't want to have to hurt you. 

When I looked at his eyes it was like no one one in there I knew what I had to do so I reached back and punched him as softly as I could. He passed out after 3 hits but he wasn't too bruised. "Can everyone feel there powers" As soon as I said that a car blew up and soldiers were running in the opposite direction. "Guess that's a yes". When I looked down at John's friends arm there was this tattoo like a symbol I took a picture of it before running back to the others they were at a corner the bus was near.

When I got there the bus door banged open and Lorna and someone I never would have thought stepped out the bus It was fucking Reed Von Strucker. The man who sent my parents away never to be seen again, here I was fucking saving him, actually feeling sorry for his family. When this mission is over I'm going to beat the living shit out of him family there or not.
