"Another point to slytherin," Lee Jordan announces. "Getting nervous?" Mattheo says in my ear. I look up to see him smirking. "No. we're only halfway through the game. They have plenty of time to turn this game around." I say way more  confidently than how I am really feeling. They better turn this game around. Per usual when a gryffindor versus slytherin game comes around we made a bet on who we thought would win. Of course I bet on Gryffindor, and mattheo bet on his house, slytherin. Gryffindor is my favorite quidditch team at Hogwarts, and the best, I think. Their captain, Oliver Wood, is definitely more dedicated than any other captain at hogwarts. He rides the high of winning a game for weeks, and when he loses, he barely comes out of his room for the whole week, except for the occasional classes with mandatory attendance. Some people think he's being dramatic, but I know better. He takes losses hard, and he puts all the blame on himself. Whether it was that he created a bad play, was a bad captain, didn't have the team practice enough (which is crazy because they practice pretty much everyday), or even that he just played bad. Nobody else thinks it's his fault, but even if the whole school told him they didn't blame him, he wouldn't believe them.  Me and Oliver have been going over plays for weeks leading up to this game. I love quidditch in an unhealthy manner, but I can't play it for the life of me. I really did try to learn. I even got Oliver to help me. He didn't even attempt to sugarcoat it when he saw me play, just told me straight up that I should stick to just watching. So that's what I've done. I watch and comment on the good plays.....and the not so good plays, and give Oliver feedback from a bystander's point of view. Because of this, the team is very strong, and we're usually dominating not even halfway through the game. We need to pick it up if we're gonna win, and we better win, because I've got $600 riding on this game. Mattheo and I decided to, as usual, bet on this game. Oliver and I have been prepping things for weeks, and the team has been practicing hours everyday for months. So, I was very confident in our team today, and may have bet a little too high, but knowing Mattheo, he refused to back down, and agreed. I may just be $600 richer today. Or maybe not. That would be very unfortunate. "What's going on in that head of yours?" Mattheo asks, leaning over the railing to look me in the eyes. "Just thinking about what i'm gonna buy with the $600 i'm going to win today" he lets out a low chuckle and shakes his head. I look over at the scoreboard, to see we have scored three more points. However, slytherin has also. The chaser on the slytherin team shoots the ball into the top goal, but Oliver is quick, and blocks it. Gryffindor takes the ball down to slytherin's goal. Our player fakes the keeper out, and shoots the ball. It goes in. "Another point to Gryffindor," Lee Jordan announces. Harry is sitting on his broomstick smiling, and clapping. I questioned Oliver's decision to put Harry on the team as a seeker while in his first year, but Harry has proved to be a good player. Luckily. I don't know what Oliver would've done if Harry didn't work out. Suddenly Harry's head whips around, following something with his eyes. Hopefully it's the snitch, and we can end this game with a victory. He begins chasing after it, weaving through the players. Draco Malfoy notices this, and flies up by Harry's side. This was the one issue with Harry, he and malfoy. Both seekers, for rival teams. Enemies on and off the field. Their rivalry with each other is stupid, and pointless, but most rivalries are. Harry increases his speed, and stretches his arm out in front of him. He zigzags back and forth, never losing control, with draco right on his tail. Harry inches forward a little more, and loses balance, spinning out of control on his broom. He spins in the air for a few seconds before  finally regaining control of his broom. He faces the stands and holds up his hand in the air. "Harry has caught the snitch!" Lee announces, "he receives 150 points for catching the snitch! Gryffindor wins!!" The whole section of gryffindors goes crazy, screaming and jumping up and down. We all run onto the field to congratulate the players. I run into Oliver's arms, and he spins me around. "You did it!!" I yell. "We wouldn't have won without you" he says, putting me down. I roll my eyes and spot Mattheo walking towards us. "Nice job man" he says to oliver. "Thanks" "Pay up" I say to Mattheo with my hand extended toward him. He scoffs, rolls his eyes, and pulls out $600, putting it in my hand. "Thank you" I say, taunting him. "You're the worst," he says, shaking his head. "I'm going to go shower and change, but are you coming to the after party?" Oliver asks slowly, walking backwards. "Of course," I answer. "Sweet!!" he says, turning around and heading to the locker room. I turn back toward mattheo. "Are you coming?" I ask. "Uh i wasn't planning on it" he answers as we walk back to the castle. I make a pouty face. "Don't" he says anticipating what i was doing. "Don't make the pouty face" I ignore what he said and still pout. "Ughh. Here I'll compromise. I'll wait for you in the Slytherin common room with Sophie and draco. if they can keep their hands off of each other that long" he says the last part under his breath. I laugh. "And if they can't?" I ask knowing all too well that they probably can't last that long. "Then just come straight to my dorm after the party and we can watch movies. I just restocked my snacks ''I gasp, "really? Did you get the cookies with the coconut and the ch- ''''and the chocolate? Yes" he answers, laughing. " I think I'm in love with you" I say jokingly. "Well if you feel that way maybe we could do other things tonight" he says, backing me up against the castle wall. He puts his hand on my hip, and slowly slides it up and down my side. "Well?" he whispers in my ear. Breathe. I remind myself. This is ridiculous. It's a joke. Breathe. "I've got a wide open shot" I say, kneeing him in the stomach, and sliding out from between him and the wall. He bends over and moans in pain. "I'm going to take that as a no then?" he asks, still bent over. "Yeah" I say laughing. "You're evil" he says standing back up and walking into the castle. "i' m sorry," I say, still laughing. "No you're not" "you're right" I answer, still laughing. He starts walking faster. "Okay I'm sorry." I answer. "I'll make it up to you" he raises his eyebrow. "You can pick the movie tonight" I say internally, cringing at what he will probably choose. "Really?" he asks, forgetting to be mad. I roll my eyes and shake my head. "You won't be disappointed" he whispers in my ear, then walks away, towards the slytherin common room.
