She was going to die, you knew she was going to die. You knew this. Why is it so hard? Why the hell is this so hard if I knew this was coming?
I feel the Spirit wrap his arms around me. "It's okay."
Nothing is okay.
"It will be. I promise. I'm here."
I stand up and walked to the chapel. No one was there, they wouldn't be. The others would be at the school building, except maybe Jesus.
I sat in the first pew and prayed hard.
