Sports Festival-I

I felt a little excited seeing my brother and his class entering the arena. They were about to be watched by pros all over japan.

However that meant our old man was definitely gonna be there observing my baby brother, his masterpiece, in action. Just thinking about it was enough to make my blood boil.

I knew that his presence would affect Shoto and his way of fighting. He'd obviously rant about him not abandoning his childish rebellion. I only hoped I was wrong.

"NOW THE INTRODUCTORY SPEECH!" A voice rang out from the screen.

I groaned as the other sidekicks sighed and blushed furiously.

"That's the R-rated hero! Midnight!" One of them cried happily.

"She's the umpire for the first years! Seriously I wish I could watch that up live!"

"Is that really the proper clothing to wear for a highschool teacher? I can't understand what goes on in her head." I said frowning.

"I hear you Todoroki! I just hope she doesn't become the center of attention. This festival is important for the kids to show off their skills."
Hawks said.

We watched as Shoto's classmate Katsuki Bakugo went up to the mic. I wondered what he was going to say.

"I just wanna say... I'm gonna win."

I honestly didn't blame the crowd of students for booing right then and there.

"What a way to make a first impression." I muttered.

Hawks was laughing so hard.

"That guy cracks me up!" He sputtered.

I rolled my eyes. His reaction didn't suprise me. That was just who he was. As Midnight announced the obstacle course, I sat up straight, paying attention to the screen.

There were so many students standing at the starting line.

"I wonder how they're gonna be able to all fit through the doorway." I contemplated loudly.

"Exactly." Hawks said grinning.

I stared at him in confusion, stared back at the screen, then I understood what he meant.

"BEGIN!" Midnight shouted. All the students took off.

"AND WE'RE OFF TO A RACING START!" Present Mic yelled. "HOW ABOUT SOME COLOUR COMMENTARY FOR ME MAN!!"

I snickered as I heard Eraserhead's weary voice over the speaker,

"How did you talk me into this?"

"WHAT SHOULD WE BE PAYING ATTENTION TO AT THE EARLY STAGES OF THE RACE?"

"The doorway."

It instantly became clear that the doorway was too narrow for numerous students to run through, making it the first obstacle.

I felt a tiny grin creep up my face as I saw my little brother use is ice powers to get an early lead.

"Looks like young Todoroki cracked it before we did." Hawks said with a laugh.

I kept watching him maintain his lead until he was blocked by huge robots that I was told were present during the entrance exam.

I grinned as I saw my brother freeze them in place before running ahead of everyone again. But I was more surprised or in more accurate terms shocked when I saw a red-haired kid break his way through the bit that had fallen on him.

"Woah!" said Hawks, "That kid's something else! He's got spirit."

But he was more impressed by the student with a bird head who seemed to be riding on his shadow.

"Now that's one way to fly." He said grinning.

I watched Shoto ease his way through the obstacle one by one, until he made his way to the minefield.

"I get it," I said. "That obstacle was created to specifically slow down the participants. Those in the lead are at a disadvantage."

I felt myself sweating when I saw that spiky haired kid catch up to Shoto. As the two battled for the lead, the green haired kid suddenly set of a huge explosion at the back.

I was shocked as I saw him take the lead in midair. Shoto and Bakugo were chasing after him determinely.

I was at the edge of my seat waiting for the reveal of who was in first.

It was Izuku Midoriya. Shoto was close behind him in second place.

I felt disappointed. Not because my brother didn't come in first, but due to how it would affect him.

"Don't worry," Hawks assured, "Your little bro did his best."

"I'm not upset." I said. Narrowing my eyes I added,

"But I know someone who is."
