During residency, I had more free time for myself than when I was in medical school.

Since Adrian is my best friends for years, I asked him to make a baby with me.

He was confused why I wanted him to be my sperm donor.

But he is the only male I trusted beside my father.

So that happened, after the first time we had sex it became an addiction and need for both of us.

We were like the other person is our only source of oxygen.

And months after I was pregnant with a baby girl.

Adrian and I were like a married couple for the months my tummy enlargen and that was when my love for him grow to something I was not expecting.

He took care of me like no other man did before.

He cleaned me after long stressful hours of surgeries, cooked when I had no energy and brought everything that were needed for the baby and me.

After Alessia born, Adrian never left my side.

He was a great father to Alessia and our parents fell instantly in love with Alessia's shy joyful persona.

Alessia may look more like me but her entire personality is Adrian.

Michele looked like a broken man as I said Alessia is my daughter.

Alessia whispered a 'hello' to Michele and her famous shy smile.

Michele smiled back even though his eyes were fill with sadness.

Adrian introduced himself to Michele and shake his hand.

Adrian knew about Michele and mine's past, he didn't judge like most people would. That was why he is the only person I told.

My mother joined up outside but when she spotted the identical mini me in my arms, she burst down crying and demanded I give her Alessia, smiling to her.

Alessia looked at me for my approval, I smiled and hand her over to my mother.

She showered Alessia with kisses which caused Alessia to giggle and try to push away my mother's face away from hers.

My mother invited us inside trailing ahead with Alessia.

"Mom," I began looking at Adrian who gave me his encouraging smile.

My mother turned to face me with a smile and tears on her cheek.

"I am getting married."

Silence.

Until...

A sound of shattering glass filled my ear.
