The British refused to be broken by the onslaught Nazi bomberss during the Battle of Britain. When France fell, Britain stood alone against the facists.British fighters took down the Luftwaffe, angering Hitler. Hitler ordered devastating bombing raids on English cities, including the capital, London. Hitler was losing in Britain, but winning everywhere else.
Hitler them practically committed suicide for him and his army by making the decision to order the armies to attack on the Soviet Union. Hitler marched towards Moscow after tricking the Russians that they were there to help, and then killed over 2 million of the Russians.
The Battle of Britain started to crush the Allies in the summer of 1941. Roosevelt decided that Britain desperately needed more help. America then joined the war, but after realizing that Germany and Italy might not be there only enemies. Roosevelt then decided to retaliate. He stopped all axis assets in the United States.
