The next couple of days had not been easy. Word had gotten around that Marlene had been suspended for what she had done to Althea and many were on her side but of course, there were a few that targeted Althea and they were associated with the Marauders. Jace and Kazz made sure she was not left alone at any given moment and all of Ravenclaw made sure they kept an eye on her when she was in the common room and dorm. Professor McGonagall made sure to keep an eye on her, ensuring that her school work wasn't affected and that the Trial was conducted in the appropriate manner. She did not trust Dumbledore to do what needed to be done, especially considering how he treated her while she was in the hospital.

"Are you ready to do this?"

Althea was nervous for what was about to happen but she had her parents and brother by her side. She wanted Kazz there too but because it was a formal trial, only family was allowed. She walked into Dumbledore's office, standing next to her parents to scan the room. Of course there was Ministry Officials but Althea knew most of them because of her fathers work but what unsettled her the most was the way Marlene was looking at her. She did not look remorseful or worried at all, in fact she had a smug grin on her face.

"Althea, could you step forward please?"

She did as she was asked. An Official stepped forward to give them memory of the incident and took a step back to where her family stood. Jace wrapped his arms around her, knowing how high her anxiety was at the moment and knew how scared she was doing this in front of people.

"Well, from all the evidence gathered, the only course of action I see is expelling Ms McKinnon." The Minister spoke as Dumbledore took a step forward.

"I'm sure there is something else that can be done, Minister, a student shouldn't be expelled for just one mistake." Professor McGonagall glared at him while he actually tried to excuse the behaviour of Marlene, knowing full well she tried to kill Althea.

The Minister shook his head, "Afraid not Headmaster. Ms McKinnon is not remorseful in any way and I will not have a student fear for their life because of another student. She deserves to be punished for what she did, especially considering she was ready to take the life of another student."

"But isn't that a bit excessive?" Dumbledore questioned.

Professor McGonagall who was done with his shit stood in front of the Minister, "Thank you Minister. I will ensure that Ms McKinnon packs all of her belongings and is escorted off the premises. She will not be returning to Hogwarts. Her parents can find her a school somewhere else and will be provided with the necessary information but she will not be returning to Hogwarts. Thank you for all you help Minister." After she finished, she escorted the Officials out of the office while Althea hugged her family.

"One less thing you have to worry about now." Jace hugged her as he pressed a kiss to her head.

Althea sighed, "I sure hope so."

"How are you holding up?"

"How are you holding up?"

The girls decided to spend some time together away from all of the drama. That's why Alice, Lily, Genie, and of course Jordan, found themselves sitting by the Black Lake, studying and enjoying a various amount of snacks. Althea was glad that she had the friends and family that she did, especially considering the backlash after everything that has happened with Marlene. She knew the Marauders were pissed, mostly Sirius and James, but luckily she hadn't run into them yet.

Althea exhaled, "I've been better but I'm getting there. I know some people are going to have a problem with everything that's happened between me and Marlene but I chose to protect myself and quite frankly I don't care what they have to say about. She had absolutely no remorse for what she did and I'm pretty sure she's fine with killing me. I'm just glad she's gone."

"I'm sorry you had to go through that. I honestly thought she was better than that but considering everything she did to get close to them and break up you and Sirius, I'm not surprised anymore." Lily sighed as she shook her head. The more she distanced herself from the Marauders, she got to see their true colours, including those they hung out with. She had not expected Marlene to turn into such a vindictive bitch.

Alice nodded in agreement, "I know what you mean. I knew she wanted Sirius but I did not think she would hurt you like that. I mean, pushing someone down the stairs is just vile and says so much about what kind of person she is. I'm just glad you're safe."

"You should have let me kill her." Jordan shrugged.

Genie agreed, "And, of course, I would have helped."

"As much as I love you all, I've got it handled."

"So? Doesn't mean we can't cut a bitch along the way."
