~Story Begins~

Typically, Hamilton would be up in Jefferson's face, screaming and shouting, popping off any idea that was in his head. Anything that would make Jefferson crumble beneath his words.

Or so it seemed to most.

In reality, it was no more than playful banter and tossing shade.

The two redheads often quarreled and argued back in forth in cabinet meetings, as one would expect of them.

After all the seriousness of meetings, and away from the eyes of those plenty, the two were fairly affectionate towards one another. Enemies to the public, lovers in secret. It's been that way for awhile now, ever since Jefferson had returned from France.

It's been complicated, from time to time, but they still managed.

...

Jefferson leaned over Hamilton's desk, red hair falling into his face as he read over the writing Hamilton had down. "You spelled Pennsylvania wrong."

Hamilton laughed, looking up at the man. "Yeah, and? At least my breath doesn't smell like that Mac n' Cheese shit you call food all the time-"

"Your breath smells like coffee all the time, so there's that." Jefferson rolled his eyes, laughing quietly. Playful banter.

Alex sat his quill in the ink well, standing momentarily. He rested his hands firmly against the desk, and he met Jefferson's gaze. Jefferson's eyes were a lovely hazel, compared to that of Hamilton's indigo blue ones.

Oh, how Jefferson loved those eyes.

Unique, he always thought. Ever so unique.

Hamilton's face was also freckled, accompanied with a fair jawline, strong nose, and beautiful, pink, downward-turned lips. His messy red hair and pale skin also added to the look. A marvel.

Jefferson, on the other hand, had light freckles, which couldn't be seen until his face was red, or if he was in the sun. His jawline is stronger, accompanied by a square shaped head, a large nose, and thin lips. His skin was fairly pale, but not as pale as Alex's, and his hair was much thicker.

The two are similar, yet all the different.

Jefferson soon enough laughed, breaking a long silence between the two.

"What?"

"You're pretty." He teased, ruffling Hamilton's hair. Hamilton rolled his eyes, practically jumping on top of the man, catching his lips in a kiss. Jefferson held Alex up, allowing the man to wrap his legs around his back.

Pulling apart, the two laughed.

"You know, if you weren't so small, it'd probably much easier to do this."
