"What do I do?" Shrishti asked in a panic, "Di and Jiju are still not here. The decorations are not done, and I am locked here."

Janki, Dadi, Neel, and Sushmita were looking at her with a bored expression as she paced here and there. Sushmita leaned over to dadi and said, "Beeji should I call Sameer and tell him the engagement is cancelled?"

"Hmm, Mujhe toh Yahi option thik lagta hai," Janki agreed, "at least that will get Shrishti attention."

"I think before that it will give Sameer heart attack," Dadi let out a low laugh, as Janki and Sushmita followed her lead.

"But Badi Nanu, won't that be great? The masi won't have to leave," Neel said cheerfully.

"Who wouldn't have to leave?" Shrishti asked, "Di right? They still haven't left that resort. Oh my god, what am I gonna do?"

Looking at Shrishti crybaby face, Neel went and tugged her dupatta. "Masi, you are not ready for marriage," he said seriously.

"Kyu?" the three oldies asked.

"She looks scared, but mumma and dadda looked excited on their engagement. Shouldn't that mean she isn't ready," Neel said logically.

"Of course they were happy," Sushmita muttered, "who wouldn't be after two years of wait." Dadi and Janki laughed at her comment.

"Shh Neel, I am already worried and here you are..." Shrishti said annoyance when loud drums beats were heard. Shrishti heard them and her eyes widened, " Luthras are here, I am dead. Nothing is ready... Di and Jiju are also not here... what shall I do? Bhagwan, mujse koi problem hai appki? Har bar tang ada te ho!"

"Chup kar, at least check what is happening first," Dadi said. Shrishti nodded and ran with Neel on her tail.

Garden
