Shimla, Preeta's house engagement day

Shrishti was fussing around the house about the decorations, as she complained to Janki, " Janki aunty look at Di and Jiju, they are still not back yet. Today is my engagement and both of them are not here. " Janki shook her head at Shrishti's drama. " I. I, the bride is busy making arrangements for my own sagai. Hay meri kismat."

"Chup kar," Janki scolded her, "Kuch bhi anab shanab bak ti reh ti hai."

"Is me kya abnab shanab? You know what? You let it be, I will call Jiju and scold him, how dare he not come," Shrishti said as she frowned. She dialled his number and as soon as he picked up she started her rant, "Jiju where are you? It's already 12 O'clock here, the engagement is at 8. How are you even going to be here? Apko pata hai, I am the one making all the arrangements here. This is your job, I wanted you to organise everything. Jiju..."

"CHUP!" Abir huffed from the other side, " Breath. How can you talk so fast? Meri bullet-train sali saheba, I would have been there if it wasn't for you. You gave me the task at the last moment..."

"Aree, Jiju you plan all the main events in our house, of course, you will plan..."

" Who has an event planning company?" Abir asked dryly.

"JIJU!" Shrishti whined.

"Kya Jiju," Abir asked incredulously, "moreover, I have already sent the people the design and their tasks, why are you fussing? They know me very well, trust me if anything goes wrong I will skin them alive. So now, cut the phone and stay in your room like a good girl." Abir immediately cut the call.

"Ji...How can he cut the call? " Shrishti pouted.

"Oye bas kar, " Janki shook her head, "and go take rest, otherwise on your engagement you will look like a witch."

"Haww, Janki aunty," Shrishti said dramatically.

"Masi!" Neel called and started dragging her.

"Aree, where are you taking me?"

"Dad called, he told me to take you away from these decorations," Neel replied as he tried to drag her into the house. "I also wanted to convince you to not marry that uncle. He is not nice, he didn't keep his promise."

Seeing his determined expression, Shrishti muttered, " It was either breaking your promise or our marriage. Di would have killed him if he took you to the treat." She bent down and said in a sweet voice, " Esse nahi bolte, he was just busy yesterday."

Neel folded his arms and said dryly, "You are bad at acting like an adult."

"Kya!" Shrishti exclaimed.

"Look even a child know you can never act as a sensible person," Janki laughed.

"Neel, I will..." Shrishti yelled as she ran behind him in the house.

Ring shop

"Why the hell are there so many shapes and sizes!" Sameer said in irritation. "Bhabhi let's just choose one and go, if I stay any longer I will go crazy."

Isha rolled her eyes, as she looked at some other rings, "Sameer, Shrishti will have to wear this for a very long time, you have to choose carefully. If you don't understand then directly call her, she will tell you her preference."

Sameer there his head back in frustration, "That's the problem Bhabhi, Shrishti and I agreed on a challenge: I have to find her dream ring without her help. At that time, I fell in her trap."

"Sammy," Shrishti said and he hummed, "I was thinking that Di agreed very easily right?"

"Tell me about it," Sameer smiled, "I thought it was going to be ten times harder. But Preeta Di is still as understanding as ever."
