Next morning, Preeta and Abir's room

Preeta walked out of the bathroom, and snorted seeing Abir sleeping soundly, "He calls me KumbhaKarni, and look at him." She sat beside him, stroking his shoulders, and called out, "Abir, get up. Look it's 9 O'clock." However, he just switched sides, pressing the blanket on his head. "Abir," she crooned.

"Pree, please," he whispered, dozing off in the middle, "I..."

She smiled, "Come on, we have a lot of things to get done. It's wedding week." He shook his head and cuddled into her instead, pulling her into the blanket.

"We will do it later, sleep," he replied drowsily.

She rolled her eyes, "Fine, you sleep. I will go downstairs."

"No," he tightened his hold, "stay, I will sleep better." She laughed and stayed put. Once assured that he was back in his dreamland, she pecked his forehead and freed herself.

Ring Ring

"Who called me at this time?" she frowned and picked up the phone. "Nikhil? Hello."

"Good morning," he replied, "ma'am I found something very weird about Sherlyn."

"What is it?"

"She gave birth to a daughter, five years ago roughly," he informed her, " and she was fostered by her mother. However..."

"However?" she questioned.

"However, she doesn't live with her," he replied, "Sherlyn's mother is her legal guardian, but when I made our team track her there are no traces of her daughter, or any little kid living with her."

"Maybe she gave her up for adoption?"

"No, ma'am I have checked, nothing of that sort."

"Did you find out what happened to her?" she asked.

"Yes..."

Living Room

"Oh shut up you!" Sona heaved, as she bent over placing her hands on her knees for support.

"Why should I shut up, you are the one who has gotten weaker, can't even run a few kilometers" King teased.

"I just don't like running! We will see who is weaker when we do pilates instead," she responded, "I am sure you will be groaning in pain for a good while."

"How hard can it be?" he grunted.

"Harder than you think," she narrowed her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah," he waved his hand in an unbothered manner. She glared at him before plopping down on the couch. King called the house-help and ordered, "Get her some juice please, else she will continue acting like an out-of-water fish." She rolled her eyes, as she didn't even have the strength left to refute back. He leaned back on the couch too, before speaking again, "Why did you and Abir argue yesterday?"

She let out an annoyed breath, "I didn't argue, he did." King rolled his eyes. "I was just asking him whether he was targeting the Luthras or not," she replied.

"So what if he is," he asked, "don't tell me you, out of all people, pity them."

"Pity?" she grunted, "As if."

"Dadda," Kiara called him, "come out with us! We wanna play, but Chachu is sleeping." Smiling, he quickly rushed out.

Sona fished out her phone and typed a message.

Sona: If you still want my help, meet me tonight at 8 O'clock, in front of the Raishinghania mansion.

"Sona," Preeta called out, making her jump. "What happened to you?" she asked in confusion.
