"Enji!" After the outing with the UA students, she ended up retreating to Endeavors Office. She frequently called out before entering his personal study.
"Come in." No matter his mood, it was hard to tell if he was angry or not. His tone remained cold at all times.
Walking in, she saw Enji in a button-up shirt and slacks. This attire was usual for him when he wasn't training or fighting. "So, um, I have an idea."
The man finally looked up from his work. Her words made him nervous, and her fidgeting didn't help to ease that. "What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing wrong per se. I'm just not sure you are going to like my suggestion." Enji eyebrows raised. He learned to analyze body language in school, but he was never quite good at it. "Well, spit it out then. We won't know until you say it."
"I think it would be a good idea for me to stay at the dorms while I assistant teach." She said it quickly, causing him to miss some words. Even so, he was still able to understand the just.
"Absolutely not."
"But Enji, don't you get it. It's going to be super suspicious if I'm offered a dorm and turn it down to live with you. Shouto doesn't even live here, so why would I refuse to move." His uncertain look suddenly became a glare as he watched her sit in a chair.
"I said no, that's final." Y/N hated when he was like this. It made her feel like a child.
"Enji, I'm an adult. You can't talk to me like that. I can do what I want. I was merely being considerate by letting you know." She raised from her chair, heading towards the door. Not noticing the ginger until he slammed the door she was opening. "I said No."
He grabbed her arm, twisting her to face him. His body towered over her, making her shake with fear. She knew he would never hurt her, but isn't that what all girlfriends say. She couldn't look him in the eyes. She knew she would give in if she did. "Enji-" her voice cracked, causing her to look down in embarrassment. "Please let go. You're hurting me." Endeavor released the small girl's arm noticing a burn in the shape of what he had just taken away. Tears now fell from her eyes. Enji couldn't bear to look at her. "I said no, and that means no." Without another word, she left.
She knew she couldn't tell any of her new friends, so she called the only person she knew who would understand.
It wasn't a long walk to his apartment, but she hated every minute of it. She hated the stares, the whispers, the pitty. She hated herself for allowing this to happen. How could she do this? How could she let him hurt her like that? She finally was at his door, lightly knocking.
His red wings were the first thing she saw. Without a word, Keigo pulled her into a hug, embedding his face in her hair. She always loved the way Hawks smelled. It was a mix of sandalwood and citrus. "What happened, little bird?"
"Kei, I'm just tired." His hand that was on the back of her head moved to her chin. She flinched away from his grip, something she had never done before. Unlike many of his female friends, she was an affectionate person. They were almost always touching each other, another reason Enji didn't like their friendship. "That's Bullshit. You flinched when I touched you. Do you think I'm fucking stupid? So what happened?"
She pulled away from the hug, scurrying inside without making eye contact. She sat on his sofa staring blankly at the muted TV. Keigo had been watching SpongeBob, which didn't surprise her.
"Endeavor, and I had a fight, that's all." Keigo had now crossed the room, sitting next to her.
"What about?" His hand had found its way back into her hair, playing with a strand as she spoke.
