Snapping back to reality, wei wuxian whipped his imaginary drool, and turned to whisper to his brother.
"Who is that young master? And how do I not know him?"
Jiang cheng glanced to the teen in white still standing in front of them, unsure if it would be impolite to speak in such an awkward situation.
On the side, yanli saw her brothers standing still and just staring at the other person in front of them. She could also sense that wei wuxian's gaze gave off an entirely different feeling than the one jiang cheng gave off.
Yet the strangest thing was that when she looked back towards the young master in front of them, he was gazing at wei wuxian the same way. She could only smile gently as she knew something was forming between the two. However, it seemed neither parties were willing to speak so yanli chose to step forward."Young master, I am Jiang Yanli of the JiangYunmeng sect. My brothers and I are here to participate in the annual GusuLan teachings, unfortunately we have come across some..."
Turning her head slight to the right to signal her brothers to remain silent, she then continued on.
"Unavoidable setbacks. If you would be so kind as to inform Master Qiren of our circumstances?"
The teen in white listened to yanli, yet his eyes remained on wei wuxian. Only when yanli finished her sentence did he pry his gaze away.
Wei wuxian was observing him intently, not listening to a thing that was being said.
Although once the teen in white spoke, he could hear his voice clearly.
"Lan wangji greets young mistress jiang."
Oh how his voice resonates beautifully.
Entranced, wei wuxian was unable to listen to the rest of the conversation taking place.
Wangji walked forward to the guard and gestured for the them to explain the situation, in which he found out that the group in front of the gate did not have their approval letter.
With a better understanding of the situation, wangji walked back to the group then calmly explained the problem.
"No letter. No entrance."
Then walked through the gates, following behind was the disciples holding the tretcher, leaving the group at the gates stunned and dumbfounded.
As for the already stunned wei wuxian, he finally snapped back to reality once the object of his attention left.
Looking beside to his brother and sister who stood there, both just staring at the place where the GusuLan disciples left.
Walking in front of yanli, wei wuxian asked why the two were just standing there, and if she asked that wangji guy to get master qiren for them shouldn't they have a more happy expression?
Jiang cheng then explained what occurred to their previously distracted brother.
"Ba, no way that handsome guy would say that!"
Of course wanyin, jiang cheng, wouldn't think anything of that comment. Yet yanli could spot the tiny spots of affection that appeared in wei wuxians eyes as he spoke of lan wangji.
Dragging his siblings from the gate, wanyin said it would be better for them to start setting up camp nearby and get some rest. However, wei wuxian said he would trek down the mountain and find their letter so shijie wouldn't resort to sleeping on the bare ground.
