Early in the morning, wangji silently summoned forth a messenger butterfly to xichen. The contents in the message were - In order to keep wei ying undistracted, the two of us will be eating our lunches in the library. Minimal contact from other students will be enforced.
After sending the butterfly the boy in his arms started to turn so wangji pulled him in closer and placed his chin atop of the messy head.
"Sleep, it's not time yet."
Hearing the soft and husky voice, along with the strangely familiar sandalwood scent, he wrapped his arms around the body next to him and fell deeper in his slumber.
Once wangji sensed that the sun was going to rise, he shook wei wuxian as much as he could but the boy would not wake up.
Since wangji was the head disciple, he had a certain routine that he followed everyday, aside from yesterday.
So he picked up the sleeping boy, who in his slumber flung his arms around wangji's neck for support, and brought him to the washroom.
Taking a small damp cloth, wangji clean wei wuxian's face and pat it dry. Then put a small cup of warm water ,mix with some herbs to prevent tooth decay, to wei wuxian's mooth and let it go inside to sit. After he washed his face, wangji took the same cup and used the same mixture letting it sit inside his mouth as he leaned wei wuxian forward to spit out the mixture.
With wei wuxian still wearing his clothes from the previous days, wangji used a simple talisman to cleanse wei wuxian's body. Although the robes were only worn one, wangji still felt that they were dirty so he used his headband to cover his eyes as he used his hands to undress and put on one of his robes on wei wuxian.
Waking up, wei wuxian felt his head resting on a sturdy shoulder and as he looked upwards he saw wangji immersed in his reading.
Admiring the guy for a bit, wei wuxian just leaned on him contently
Are you awake now?
Wangji tilted his head to rest on wei wuxians as he continued to read.
Mn, I am still sleeping.
Moving his shoulder forward, wangji watched as the 'sleeping' wei wuxian fell sideways. After catching air, wei wuxian finally 'woke up' and gave wangji a soft punch.
"Wei! I probably only slept for about wick's time!"
Showing wei wuxian the calendar, wangji pointed to the date--the date being the following day from when he took a nap.
Seeing the date, wei wuxian smacked his forehead.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think I'd be able to sleep that long...usually the dogs wake me up."
Remembering wei wuxian did start sweating when taking a nap, wangji put down the scroll and turned to face wei wuxian to listen attentively.
"Oh? You want to know?"
Seeing wangji's expecting face, wei wuxian couldn't help but tease him as he brought his lips close to wangji's ear and whispered.
"A savage dog named lan zhan bit me in my dream, how terrifying."
Quickly moving away from wei wuxian, wangji covered his red ears then scolded him.
"Since you are awake, it is time for lessons."
Surprisingly cooperative, wei wuxian moved next to wanjgi ready to learn but before wangji could speak a sudden hand grab his.
It's easier for you to teach me this way.....after all your brother did say that you don't speak much.
