The Rescue

(Legosi's POV)

(I don't wanna write out how he got to the market and he found Gohin and yadda yadda, so this is taking place when it's raining and he's on the bridge of the Shishigumi.)

I can smell their scents here. They're strong.

They're in that building.

Walking across the bridge, I see a lion in a black suit and holding a black umbrella. He must be some sort of watchman.

Just be cool. Play it cool.

Don't be suspicious.

"Hey, kid! Whatcha tryna do?"

Great.

I turn to look at him.

"Hi, I was just wondering, can I see your boss and see if we can work out a compromise so he can let my friends go?" I ask.

He just stares at me.

Then he laughed. Hard. Leaning forward, hearty, the whole thing.

"See the boss, this guy!" He says between laughs, wheezing for air. "Sorry kid, he's a little busy right now, get back to your field trip."

I cock my head to the side. I gave him a clear question and a good reason, why doesn't he let me in?

"I'm going in anyway." I say, starting forward. The lion bolts over and grabs me.

Instinctively, I grab his wrist and try to get it off. He pulls out a gun, struggling to hold it right. Finally, I get his hand off me and grab his hand with the gun and hold it so the gun is facing the sky. We both struggle for control, until he finally manages to aim the gun barrel at me. At the last second, I twist his hand around as he pulls the trigger, shooting himself in the head.

I let his body drop to the ground, and sprint across the bridge. I inhale, getting a good whiff of (Y/N) and Haru's scents.

They're here.

As more lions advance, I realize how outnumbered I am.

Out of nowhere, however, Gohin appeared to give me a hand.

"You're so dumb, Legosi! Taking on a whole gang, what're you thinking?!" He says, shooting a bamboo arrow into a lion with a crossbow he happened to have. I smile.

"I knew you'd come to help." I say.

"Focus!!" He shouts, making me aware of a lion coming at me head-on.

Fighting them off, I show no fear because I have none.

I'm determined.

I'm furious.

I'm in love.

(Your POV)

"I hope you don't feel disrespected here." The boss lion spoke.

All the other lions had left, other than a few that stood close to you to keep an eye on you after your outburst. The boss had wanted to see you and Haru alone. Well, as alone as we could be.

"Now, I'm afraid I have to inspect you two now." He said, leaning forward in his chair. "So, take off your clothes."

Haru flinched and I made a noise in my throat.

"I dare you to not comply." He said in a menacing voice. "You, rabbit. Strip."

You stared at the floor in front of you. You heard Haru stand, and as she took off her clothes her scent grew stronger, so you could tell.
